It is a crime that this great later-period Red Allen live (*) recording has never seen a CD reissue. (*) correct me if this is not "the f****in' right order" of the adjectives, never got to know this part of the English grammar...

Ensayo issues of 'Ten To Two Blues' (both LP and CD versions) incorrectly list Slide Hampton's ‘Last Minute Blues’ as Tete Montoliu’s ‘Blues To Line’. This also happens, either as a mistake or as an appropriation, on a different recording from 1973, issued on RTVE Música CD: 63013 — Jazz En España 1 (2005). In fact, this sort of 'appropriation' was quite common in Montoliu's career. I am preparing a short essay on the issue. On the contrary, Enja issues of the abovementioned recording, under the name of 'After Hours', correctly lists the Hampton tune. BTW, 'Last Minute Blues' timing is incorrectly listed in this LP back cover. It is exactly the same as in the Ensayo issue, above eight minutes.

Many thanks, Mike. Peter Trunk is listed on the back cover of the Opera EP as the bass player on this date. However, according to Albert Mangelsdorff, it could not be Trunk on bass, as by that time he had left the Albert Mangelsdorff Septtet for a short time. Al King is the suggested bass player in the Albert Mangelsdorff Discography. As for your offer to make an MP3 when you visit the Jazz Institute at Darmstadt, I will email them with my inquiry. It is exactly the same album. It was issued as "Ten To Two Blues" by the Spanish label Ensayo, and as "After Hours" by Enja, both in 1971. Subsequent LP and CD reissues have followed the same guidelines.
