  1. He has a lot to back his banter, don't you agree? Debruyne laid a couple of beautiful long distance balls into France's penalty box, but the recipients didn't do them justice. Who wasn't 100% yesterday is Lukaku. The spear of the Belgians was not sharp, much to France's relief.
  2. No, I was raving about the video.
  3. Here's why soccer isn't popular in the USA [and may never be]. What are these people doing commenting on soccer for the worldwide internet news giant YAhoo?! https://www.yahoo.com/news/ronaldo-leaving-real-madrid-join-italian-club-juventus-155916649--spt.html Also, why stress the "Italian club Juventus". Anywhere else in the world it would be just Juventus. Paris, France...Berlin, Germany,,,London, England. Is this a distinctly American thing to inform the other parties where a city is located? Used to annoy me when I heard it said like that, now I just don't care.
  4. Wow, I just saw it yesterday at the Discos Latimer in Sevilla, but it was 35E. It's a two record set, right?
  5. Just looked it up. I missed a really great place...😡 Damn you, Google top Barcelona record stores search result. I hope there's something good in Madrid. Found this one - jazzymas.com
  6. I'll be in Spain for the rest of the week, Granada and Madrud. So far went to a record store in Barcelona, Discos Paradiso, and to two stores in Seville, Discos Latimer and Discos Sevilla, and realized that other than Tete Montoliu I don't know any Spanish jazz musicians. Also recommend some good Spanish guitar music. Quite a few guitar titles in the stores, but again, I don't just want to buy just anything.
  7. An even 100F in Sevilla right now. Cerveza time.
  8. He should bench brother Raheem next. Sterling has played all of their matches and, I think, and only has one measly assist...in the Panama rout. Give someone else a chance to start already..like Rashford.
  9. I'm actually quite surprised at how the Russians had blossomed from match to match. No doubt the coach is a major factor. All in all an indistinguishable team, like the Swedes, the Danes, and (sorry) the English, they'd disciplined themselves, and played some decent football.
  10. Croats did everything to lose this one, but didn't succeed.
  11. I don't know what'll happen later, but at this juncture England can take on either of these teams...and win. What a lame performance from Croats... they look almost indifferent.
  12. You mean Trump's Moscow pee tape?
  13. Brazil is the girl you'd want to have fun with, playful, alive, unpredictable...crazy. Makes you worry where she really is when not with you. England is who you'd marry. Wide-hipped, with watery-blue eyes, bland, she just sits home at night...chewing on something.
  14. That's the best they could do. Honestly.
  15. IMHO Keeper and Lukaku were the co-mvps yesterday. It's probably my memory playing tricks, butI don't remember another WC where so many goalkeepers made so many game-deciding mistakes.
  16. First goal- ball bounces off Fernandino's shoulder. Hello?! Dude...seriously?
  17. I don't think we watched the same match. Brazil took 9 shots on target, Belgium only three. Brazil 27 shots overall, Belgium nine. Brazil 8 corners, Belgium 4. If that's not bad luck, I don't know what to call it, but definitely not outclassed.
  18. Brazil did more than most in their position would have done. They just weren't lucky.
  19. Exactly!! Three one three three. Croats are my faves for the final at this point. And Brazil.
  20. All those, of course. Swiss, German, Belgian etc. Rakitic could've been playing for Switzerland btw.
  21. I found them to be great for that. Low lighting, good TV's , and of course the beer. And a great vibe.
  22. Don't forget the Kosovars.
  23. If Yugoslavia had a unified team, they'd be wiping the floor with any team in the world right now.
