So what amazing deals have you grabbed so far? I've never shopped this sale, although I've had Amazon Prime for a decade.

It's Atletico Madrid - they had 4 players in the WC Final. -

That sounds kinda funny, coming from someone who is a subject of a King. You've got a choice - transfer the original LPs to digital...unless you are not happy with how the original BN vinyl sounds also. -

Maybe their services are not needed elsewhere, or the salaries they draw in the PL and CL are higher than what they would get in foreign lands... Yes, counting the subs. That's where it gets trickier, since every squad has about 23 players. -

I'm really looking forward to the start of the La Liga and Serie A seasons, especially Juventus. A bit of trivia - Which club was represented by the most players in the WC 2018 final two teams? Try exercising your memory before consulting the Internets. Also, dawned on me a few days ago - I may be wrong, but imho not a single English team footballer plays outside England. Talk about the lack of international experience... -

I've read a couple of his football pieces in the Times. I don't like his over the top, little susbtance style, and I don't walk away after reading him, thinking to myself, hmm, why didn't I think of that... I will wager he never played the game himself. At least someone in the NYT is writing about the WC. As we say in Russian, "where there's no fish, a crayfish is a fish". I do think the Croats played with a lot more style and confidence than the French, but they just weren't lucky yesterday. Plus Vida couldn't keep up with Mbappe. And the keeper didn't step it up, when they relied on him. That Pogba goal...not world class keeping. With the new keeper, Croats are in the final of the UEFA Cup in 2 years. -

I was specific about yesterday. He had a total of three, maybe 4 decent shots on him the whole game. Imho he let them down bigly. -

Congratulations to France. They scored two goals and won 4:2. Croats scored 3 goals and lost 2:4. What a superb Croatian team [sans the weak keeper, who lost the WC for them]! This has been a great WC! Oh, and the bad luck...it does exist. Also, I disagree with the Golden Ball going to Modric. It belongs to Griezmann. Without a doubt. -

The current Dutch generation is a pale shadow of the ones from 45 years onward. The didn’t qualify justifiably. In all the WC and UEFA Cups I’ve watched, the Dutch were almost always my favorites. Italy was certainly mismanaged, but the Dutch...what’s happened to them?! -

Since we are on the England trip here again...for me one of the annoying elements of the English presence was listening to your national anthem. Not only it is musically primitive and uninspiring [imho, of course], but God save our gracious Queen! Long live our noble Queen! and the rest of it, to an outsider just feels tacky. I know England is proud of her traditions, and cherishes them...but nobody on your team seemed to go out of their way belting it out with any type of emotion; it looked more like a chore. They did progress to the final 4, and that is an excellent mark, which, hopefully, they will use as the creative spark. You've got a great keeper, good defenders, world-class forward. Your midfield is poor, work on it for the next two years, and you've got another top 4 team in the making! My sympathies are with the Belgians. They should have been in the final. An amazing collection of talent, the best I've seen in decades! -

IMHO right now DeBruyne is the most universal footballer in the world. He’s amazing to watch, when he’s on. -

Have you read the English tabloids coverage of the Cup? It's pretty much all garbage. Universal literacy doesn't mean universal enlightenment. And BTW the Croats did IMHO trounce the English yesterday, even though the score may not reflect the disparity in class. -

Bad luck...it exists. Now, will the Belgians care enough to beat England again, and will the English manager have his troops charge with the open visor, or sit it out...that is the question. -

England took only 2 shots on goal, one they scored - a beauty, the second the defender pulled out from the goal line. My feeling is that Southgate misread the game prior to start, and had them sit on the ball. Again, Sterling should not have even been there from minute one. Rashford was the man for the job. Loved the English keeper. He was their mvp today, IMHO. -

He has a lot to back his banter, don't you agree? Debruyne laid a couple of beautiful long distance balls into France's penalty box, but the recipients didn't do them justice. Who wasn't 100% yesterday is Lukaku. The spear of the Belgians was not sharp, much to France's relief. -

Here's why soccer isn't popular in the USA [and may never be]. What are these people doing commenting on soccer for the worldwide internet news giant YAhoo?! https://www.yahoo.com/news/ronaldo-leaving-real-madrid-join-italian-club-juventus-155916649--spt.html Also, why stress the "Italian club Juventus". Anywhere else in the world it would be just Juventus. Paris, France...Berlin, Germany,,,London, England. Is this a distinctly American thing to inform the other parties where a city is located? Used to annoy me when I heard it said like that, now I just don't care. -

Wow, I just saw it yesterday at the Discos Latimer in Sevilla, but it was 35E. It's a two record set, right?
