  6. Only just caught up with this thread. Tried Radio Soleil but must have copped one of their 5 hour news broadcasts MG
  7. Gee, thanks folks! No party, but my daughter is taking me out to see "Idlewild" next Friday, when it's supposed to open here. I shall have to have words with Andre 3000 and Big Boi, missing my birthday by a week! MG
  8. First thing this morning, my wife gave me this Can't say it was a surprise, but it's very welcome anyway. MG
  9. Sandy Denny Sandy & Niles Horace Tapscott
  10. My experience is the same as Bengtsy's - I have sent them e-mail after e-mail, and usually get a response that indicates that they don't understand what I'm saying. But one phone call sorted everything very quickly. That was the UK Paypal, but quite likely it reflects things generally. MG
  11. David Newman - Keep the dream alive - Prestige UK issue by RCA MG
  12. The Divine Miss M Mary Madonna
  13. I never heard of this album, or band, before! Looks OK on paper. MG
  14. I bought the Hubbard as soon as it came out and sold it very soon afterwards, not just because I was short of cash either. Very nice cover, however... MG
  15. It's speeded up as well. MG I take that back - AAJ is working to rule again....
  16. I guess this should be my next Mosaic. Did you get this recently? What's the numbering up to? (ie how long can I put this off?) MG Mine is #1230. I've had it for several months. Looks like I can hang on until after I've assimilated the Stitt. Thanks. MG
  17. Earlier - before I started having trouble with my ISP not recognising my password for a while ... Rev Isaac Douglas & the First Tabernacle of Deliverance Choir - I'm never left along - AVI reissue Rev Isaac Douglas & th Savannah Mass Choir - I found the cure - Savoy original The Sensational Williams Brothers - Spreading a message - Nashboro original MG
  18. If it's funny ... it's funny. Hip people take the humor as intended, racists make something else of it. And the (majority of?) people who are neither...? MG
  19. Yes, I LOVE both the chartbusters CDs with lonnie. He gets to play on standards which he doesn't get much of a chance to do on his own solo releases ...so it's a big treat. My copy of that one has rather muffled sound. I almost never complain about the sound of an album, but this gets into my player much less frequently than the Prestige CD. MG
  20. It's painfully slow today and lots of pages can't be found. MG
  21. Try doing a label search at CD Universe. They list almost 350 titles (note that a number of them are blues CDs). I am pleasantly surprised that they seem to have staying power. I didn't realise you could do a label search at CD U. I'll try that sometime. Evidence issued a lot of Japanese albums which can't be obtained in Japan any more. MG
  22. I guess this should be my next Mosaic. Did you get this recently? What's the numbering up to? (ie how long can I put this off?) MG
  23. Robert I (The Bruce) James I Mary Queen of Scots
