  1. Must have been quite an experience .... agree that Reggie Workman blossomed as part of this Max Roach 4tet Edition .... BTW his Solo recording for Denon "The Works Of A Workman" from 1978 is IMO an underrated gem and features inter alias a superb version of "Samba De Orfeu" ....
  2. Not sure whether we are talking about the same vanished YouTube Video but I remember a long track split in two videos - don'the have the audio file with me but pretty sure it was "Nommo" - which was recorded around the "The Loadstar" session in 1976 during a club date in Italy .... Billy Harper is sensational and Reggie Workman on fire to say the least .... compared to that the Horo recording somehow lacks a little bit momentum - still very good though ....
  3. Fortunately got a copy of this one ....
  4. Staying with ECM .... how many releases were issued as first edition - like the first issue of Mal Waldron`s "Free At Last" ECM 1001 - with a Foldout Cover .... ?
  5. Taking in mind Denon being a Japanese Label and this country having a history for prolific jazz reissue programmes it is somehow strange this catalogue (which includes other not too well known goodies like for instance Mickey Tucker Trio + Sextett, Regie Workman Solo etc ....) didn't see reissue for a number of years ..... based on the rather recent Blu-Spec reissues of the japanese Three Blind Mice catalogue we can live in hope though ....
  6. Obviously not an album cover, but simply could not leave out this cameo appereance by Aretha Franklin .... otherwise : sorry, my bad ....
  7. This earlier recording (from 1973) is hear worthy too ....
  8. R.I.P
  9. Touché Amoré "Is Survived By" (Deathwish) 2013
