  1. Actually this 2LP was/is a treasure trove on it`s own .... is it really more than 3 decades ago I`ve bought this as japanese pressing - time is fading ....
  2. Priceless - just for the two large ensemble tracks ....
  3. R.I.P
  4. Not bad either ....
  5. Beyond all (potential) criticism these are IMO hear worthy Haydn performances ....
  6. Wayne Jackson (Memphis Horns) R.I.P .....
  7. Probably not a lot of the artist making it to "Central Europe" - but simply missed the chance to see some of musicians more often .... somehow taking for granted them being available "forever" .... saw for instance Steve Lacy a number of times in different settings, but regret not having seized every opportunity ....
  8. Wayne Jackson R.I.P
  9. for the "discerned" collector ....
  10. I wonder whether this is "direct" enough ....
  11. Based on our tastes the music industry is lucky enough both of us are not sharing the same household .... and agreed, this is simply beautiful music ....
  12. An interesting Mahler 7 ...
  13. Not being a fan of electric bass in jazz context either, but do have a weak spot for Odean Pope`s "Almost Like Me" .... listening to Gerald Veasley`s performance on the title track reminds me always of one reviewer`s quote " ... the best album Jamaaladeen Tacuma never recorded" .....
  14. Without Words ..... http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UCCO-8007
  15. So I believe we are talking most likely about the same YouTube clip ....
  16. The video I`m referring to was a panchromatic film clip .... if this helps ....
  17. I believe the change from Reggie Workman to Calvin Hill took place in Fall 1977, so likely forum member "felser" saw a different concert performance ....
