    Great Cover Versions 19 .... : Mighty Unknowns "A Man Needs God" (Sav-All) 1972 (?) .... this aptly named Gospel group covers the Deep Soul Ballad "A Man Needs A Woman" - made immortal by James Carr - to perfection .... released on the very collectible label founded by Hoyt Sullivan in the early 70`s ....

    Another jewel in the crown of Denon regarding bass recordings is Randy Weston-Vishnu Wood Duo "Perspective" from 1977 .... the bass solo track "Khadesha" is defying description .... this actually saw CD release in 1989 and is available via Discogs for little money 🧐🤓 ....

    You're right .... it's a terrific showcase for Reggie Workman feat an outerwordly performance of "Samba de Orfeu" .... to my knowledge never reissued on CD ....

    Great Cover Versions 18 .... : Lynn Collins " If You Don't Know Me By Now" (People) 1975 .... obviously it`s hard to tackle the epic original from Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, but Lynn Collins supported by "Team James Brown" is holding up well ....
