  1. Same here, but still sad news. Love those discs with the Mulligan quartet, brownie - and you were there, wow! Of course the Getz stuff is all classic.
  2. "The complete King Ubu beheadings - the frozen broom series" (there are other volumes available, of course
  3. The first one just lost his head, which made the second one in line lose his mind and escape, however, our true servants Pile and Cotice are now dragging him back. Let him have more luck than the first
  4. We would yet have to try, but it would of course not hurt us polish kings - however, we would definitely let some of our subjects have a first try!
  5. sure is true - don't ask me why, but many people here think we need that, I suppose. ubu
  6. Boy, haven't heard that kind of attitude since, oh, about 1941-1945. In Europe WWII began in 1939, not 1941. yes, of course, but the US only came to know about it in 1941
  7. (Leeway: take it easy - Switzerland was not actually ever a Nazi-state, BUT they did collaborate, and to an extent that was more than what would have been needed to survive. But, another BUT: those years have been meticulously documented in the nineties, huge reports by renowned historians in a way hardly ever a nation worked on its own history.) ubu
  8. Thanks, Eric & Garth! Sounds like a nice set, indeed! I'll put in on my "list"... ubu
  9. Ok - otherwise the mistake would not have been on all of the reissue's copies.
  10. not much else I spin, besides jazz, but I definitely love these two!
  11. hope you'll be seeing a great film! happy birthday ubu
  12. Mark, do you have the CD that looks like the one in my first post, or do you have this one: If you indeed have this one, it's very strange:

  15. Happy birthday!

    Art Farmer

Thanks Mike, I do have the crappy Interaction/Sing me softly disc, but I didn't know there was a second one with other two albums! I have both of those on vinyl (maybe original, I don't really care, but I paid a lot, I remember that).

    Art Farmer

I wish someone would reissue the nice Atlantic quartet albums! The live one, Interaction, the one with swedish songs, and what's the fourth one? They're all excellent! Another favourite of mine is the "Jazztet meets John Lewis" album - maybe the Farmer album I love most. I still have to get the Mosaic, but I do have several of the albums included, and they're all excellent! ubu
  21. Finally got this one! A great compilation, indeed! Only I'd wish for a complete discography! Amazon UK has it for 9 £. ubu Thanks for the link ubu. I actually managed to order it from one of their Marketplace sellers for £2.16 a short while ago. You're going to like it!
  22. long live NRA! You can kill someone with a car as well.... sure, long live suvs!
  23. Welcome to this board, Mr. Malik! You're right of course about Edwards/Jackson, sorry for that! I was posting that when being at work and didn't have my CDs there... ubu
  24. I guess I'm safe to assume you have this one: My Harris is pretty thin, this one, two Three Sounds CDs (Lighthouse, Black Orchid), and a swiss live recording (you certainly have that one, Dan? First set in quartet, second set with Frank Wess, Johnny Griffin [drunk], and Clark Terry sitting in). "Blue Hour" is just that - late night music, very easy, very laid back. A classic. ubu
