  1. Jim, thanks for the memories about David Baker. His work is exquisite. I'm sitting in Glenn Brown's studio right now, mixing a live Root Doctor release. Glenn met you in 2005 at the AES convention in NYC. We're mixing on his beautiful 1978 32 channel Neve 8068.
  2. Level 2 and Level 3 orders went out today. Alec, I'll try to get yours out tomorrow along with the Level 4 orders. Thanks!
  3. First official review has come in: http://www.jazz.com/music/2008/7/22/organi...o-groovadelphia
  4. Direct through paypal is fine. Shipping to Maine will be $1.68, so just add that to your total and fire away. Thanks!
  5. I've been tied up in the studio with RD. Levels 2 and 3 should go out today, with level 4 tomorrow. I'm glad to hear they are getting across the ocean without any troubles.
  6. I think your remotes are getting it on and procreating. Speaking of Bell jars, about two months ago we finally got rid of some incredibly nasty "preserves" that the previous owners left in the basement of our house. Most of the stuff was not even recognizable and I kept expecting a jar to start talking to me. "I've been watching your beautiful family. Please... don't kill me. I have gained sentience." Seriously, some of the jars were labeled 1972 and the contents looked like preserved barf. It was beyond disgusting.
  7. So what do you think of the disc, Dan?
  8. Never seen that cover! Cool! I got a little backed up before I had to go to Hamilton NY this weekend. I just got back and Level 2 pre-orders will go out tomorrow (and perhaps Level 3 preorders, too) Thanks!
  9. Hi! Thanks for the comments. I think you answered your own question concerning the Rhodes! I like the variety, too. I used a real Rhodes for the intro to Danco De Alma, but the other Rhodes-type sounds heard both during that tune and on other songs is actually a Yamaha Motif ES Rack connected to the Hammond via MIDI. Fun stuff!
  10. Bruce, thanks for the updates. I don't know what to say except hang in there, man!
  11. Level 1 patrons shipped today. Levels two and three should be out by tomorrow. Level four by Saturday.
  12. Awesome! Congrats!

  14. That's a personal question.
  15. Preacher's daughter.
  16. Nah, I dig 'em!

  18. Hey Dan, good luck. I'm thinking of doing the same thing, my friend.
  19. Another interesting one: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/14/washingt...?ref=washington I wonder what the financially conservative folks think about this?

  21. I just spoke with Pattye Ludwig, Gene's lovely wife and manager and she told me Gene has a new disc coming August 18th that was recorded with his trio and the Bill Warfield Big Band. She even sent me a teaser track on the grounds that I don't share it! But I can say without a doubt that this is one swingin' session. Organ / big band records are few and far between these days and this one was done right. Great charts, original material, swingin' band, and of course Gene is at the top of his game. Looks like you can order or perhaps pre-order it here: http://www.allegro-music.com/online_catalo...ku_tag=18V31056
  22. Sir Duke, Stevie Wonder (oh yeah!) For my dad, Only Forever by Bing Crosby. Neat! For my mom, Because of You, Tony Bennett
  23. Works fine for me. Swingin'!
