  1. As if I needed any more proof that you don't know what you're talking about....
  2. If I had to guess, I'd say Joey D.
  3. He didn't get the call because the refs hadn't been calling those types of plays all game long. Go back and look at Chauncey driving to the basket. He got the same kind of contact and no call. The refs were pretty much letting them play. I have to say I'm amazed LeBron didn't get "star treatment" on that play.
  4. They are definitely not bringing their A game.
  5. Yep. Get her grounded!
  6. Maxiell tore it up tonight. 'Sheed got mad and made Cleveland pay. Sloppy game by the Pistons and yet again they come out with a win.
  7. It ain't my birthday yet!!! I'm still in my 20's for another... 30 minutes or so... Thanks guys! And wow, I was wondering where I had posted photos of my kitchen remodel! Now I know!
  8. That explains a lot about you.
  9. If you played guitar you'd know not to touch the strings and a mic at the same time. But since you're recording into your computer, I would check to make sure the phantom power isn't on (on the tube preamp). I used to get shocked by touching anything metal on my B3 and a vocal mic (right on the lips.... OUCH!)
  10. OMG 32 yes's out of over 1600 members!!! Sorry for being a stick in the mud, but I haven't had time to mess with this and I won't for a while.
  11. One of the best burgers I ever had was seasoned with crushed sour cream & onion potato chips (might have even been Pringles) and salt & pepper. Man... those were good! They were a spur of the moment creation by our bassist in Root Doctor, James Williams, when we were up on Mackinaw Island.
  12. Carl and Rodney have a new CD on Mack Avenue records called Get Ready and they're going out on tour to support it. Not only that, but our own Joe Gloss will be playing guitar with them on some of these dates. I'll let Joe chime in on which ones! The Carl Allen - Rodney Whitaker Project Carl Allen, drums Rodney Whitaker, bass with George Colligan, piano Joe Gloss or Rodney Jones, guitar Steve Wilson, alto/soprano saxophones (NYC date only) FRIDAY JUNE 1 Detroit, MI - Cliff Bells SATURDAY JUNE 2 East Lansing, MI (organissio's hometown!!!) 13. Pistons play tomorrow, not tonight.
  14. Haven't been out today, but my wife says it's up to $3.61 now. 20 cents in the past 3 hours. That makes a whole lotta sense.
  15. He just didn't want people stealing his drawbar settings!
  16. I think many people who love organ music outside of jazz would claim that the Hammond is a bastardization of the organ. There's an often told story about how Hammond was sued by pipe organ manufacturers because they claimed that the organ wasn't an organ at all (really it was because they were losing their asses to sales of Hammonds). You can read about it here: http://thehammondorganstory.com/chapterxv.asp As for "improvements", Hammond made a lot of models after the B3 that supposedly had "improvements" but I think the B3 was one of those fortuitous marraiges of luck, limited but ingeniously engineered technology, and hype. Even to this day, everybody wants a B3, even though a C3 or an A100 or several other models are just as good and sometimes even better. But the B3 has the name. There is a thin line with the organ between cool and cheesy and as Hammond added more bells and whistles, in order to chase the "theatre organ" crowd (a whole different subset from the jazz folk... and Hammond, Roland, Yamaha, etc. are still making organs for them), the jazz, blues, and rock people just stood by the old standard.
  17. It's been hovering around $3.41 for the past five days here in Lansing.
  18. So you have it? I've never seen one besides photos. I'll have to come over and we can jam!!!!
  19. Did see jam out like crazy?
  20. The chord organ?
  21. I just had an A100 given to me.
  22. What do you mean? On the XK3, which is the brains of the XK System, there is one button for chorus/vibrato. It is either on both manuals or it is off. On the XK3c, which Hammond Suzuki showed at NAMM this year, they have separate buttons for upper and lower chorus/vibrato as well as a host of new MIDI functions to make it a better master controller. I'd like to get one eventually, although honestly it isn't a deal-breaker for me right now.
