  1. I very very rarely delete threads. In the case of the Ed Swinnich one, he deleted that himself. Once deleted, they are gone.
  2. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=12911
  3. The organ trio record is real nice. I have Goat Hill Junket as well. With a father like Gerald Wilson, how can you go wrong?
  4. Yes but one of my dreams is to tour Japan one day.
  5. I've never understood the huge thumping stereo systems in cars. I've been in a car with a relatively crappy, but still loud system and it just hurts your ears and your chest. It's stupidity. My sister dated a guy who had one in his car and after 6 months he was completely deaf in his right ear. Related story: There is a house next door to us for rent. Lots of people have stopped by to check it out including this family who's stereo system was shaking my entire house. The father is driving the car, the mother is in the passenger seat, and there are three little children in the back seat, none of which looked over 4 years old and the stereo is absolutely blasting the bass. I thought to myself, "Way to get your children started in this world... make them deaf!!!" Asshole.
  6. Try couw. He's the man. If Africa Brass was around, he could probably help as well.
  7. So are you taking the CDs and ripping .wav files from them? That will eat up your harddisk very quickly. Try encoding MP3s from the .wav files at very high rates (say about 320kbps). Compare the original .wav to the mp3. I doubt you'll hear a difference and you'll save a lot of harddisk space. I agree and good quality sound card will make a difference. I suggest getting a prosumer card like the M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 which has RCA analog inputs and outputs and very good sound quality.
  8. Doesn't look that way from the calendar: http://dakotacooks.com/calendar.htm Would love it if you guys came to town! I'm a big fan of the CD. I sent them an email. I will try phoning them soon. Thank you!
  9. What you should do is throw them in a box along with all your other junk mail that you collect over a couple months. Once the box is full, mail it to AOL with a note that says, "Hey, thanks for sending me your crap. Here's some of mine for you!"
  10. Well, it was a fun night of hanging with my old friends from high school, listening to my buddy's new $3500 preamp (he's got the audiophile bug), drinking beer, watching Kill Bill Vol. 2 and BBQ pizza. This morning I realize that I am no longer in college. Hello hangover!!!
  11. You got that right. That BBQ chicken pizza I had at 1am last night had it's revenge this morning.
  12. I'm typing this whilst on the john since I just bought a wireless card for my laptop. What a country we live in, eh? WORD! Just be glad I don't have a webcam yet.
  13. I think we should be given this choice at all restaurants and with all items.
  14. Interesting... I'll be curious to see what y'all think about it.
  15. Thanks! We'd love to hit the west coast!
  16. I love the Firefly but it's near impossible to get a gig there, especially since the Bird closed down. It's basically the only game in town for a jazz gig that pays anything. Mark, I will send a package out hopefully tomorrow. Vibes, does The Dakota only book "national" acts or heavy-hitters?
  17. I sent one to them last year but I assume it got lost in the stack. If you could put it into his hands that would be awesome. PM me your address and I'll send one out.
  18. LOL! Can I use it instead?
  19. Thank you, John! I'll look into those. We can do the jam-band thing just fine, actually! That's the role we play at Founders in Grand Rapids (the bar on the cover of our record).
  20. Oo, we'd love to play Philly! PM me your address please and I'll send you some packages. Again, we're totally cool with booking fees and such. Are we forming an Organissimo Street Team here?
  21. Rooster, can I send you a package to give to him? I would gladly give you the standard 10-15% booking fee if we can get a gig there.
  22. We're looking for hip clubs to play across the country. If you have some cool places to play in your town that you think Organissimo would fit into stylistically (we can play straight jazz clubs or college bars that are a little open or art museums or what-have-you), please list them here. We'd love to come to your town and put on a show! Thank you! EDIT: I merged this old topic with Randy's new one since they are basically the same thing. If you feel more comfortable talking about this in private, please do not hesistate to send me a PM or an email. You can find my email address in my signature. Thank you for your help and support!
  23. All of The Chain's servers were down. Not just us.
