Today I appraised a 1908 Steinway A in St. Louis, MI. That was cool enough. The coolest part, however, is that the gentleman's dad worked for NASA throughout the Mercury and Apollo era and he had an amazing collection of memorabilia from his dad's career. Incredible stuff.

In regards to Arizona's SB 1062, which passed late yesterday: If as a business owner you refuse to serve someone who is gay, you are not exercising your religious freedom, you're just an asshole.

My wife is a wonderwind (yes, that's a word I made up for her). She never stops. She's amazing.

I love it when my child peers into my dish to see what I'm eating and then coughs into it from inches away. Thanks.

Why isn't there a VST plugin metronome with the features of the Tama Rhythm Master or the Boss DB-90?

If a commercial (aka paid propaganda) aired during a vainglorious sporting event by a transnational corporation hawking diabetes-inducing beverages angers you, perhaps you need to check your priorities. What are you so angry about? That people can sing a song in a language that your monolingual mind can't comprehend? That said people have darker skin or a different religion than you? That the world is changing and it scares you and instead of combating that irrational fear with knowledge, you...

NAMM 2014 was crazy and fun. I saw maybe 1/10th of the show floor but the best parties were happening within a few dozen feet of where I spent most of the day anyway. Hammond, Casio, Vintage Vibe, DSI, and the Moog booths were all really close and we had a blast. Thanks to Hammond Organ USA and all my friends (old and new) who stopped by the booth to say Hi!

Alright so maybe I have a contact high from the gig tonight (somebody had some serious cheeba out there) or maybe this is just a natural high from making such great music tonight with Greg Nagy, Scott Veenstra, and Joseph Veloz, but if you're awake and in Lansing, do yourself a favor and go look at the snowflakes that fell within the last hour. They are enormous, about 1/16" across, and absolutely beautiful. Now off to play some GW2 before bed. Nitey!

Bridgegate? Really? I'm surprised the me-diots didn't label the closing of national parks last October as part of the government shutdown "Gategate". Can we please stop attaching the suffix "gate" to any and every political outrage?

Just ordered personal business cards for NAMM (thank you, Rick VanderLeek for the awesome design!) I'll be at the Hammond booth and making appearances at the Casio booth throughout the weekend. I'll also be performing in the big Hammond Bash on Friday night. If you're in Annaheim, I'd love to see you!

Is it okay to put a King Crimnson-esque 6/4 solo section into a blues song? Because that's what we just did.
