  1. didja hafta go an use the term "compelling points"... jeez just when i thought i was growing up this whole thing makes some of us look like a bunch of Peter Pans! (...anyone seen my tights?)
  2. Aw man I'm sad to hear this. Thanks for posting this Tom. All I can think of is that it'll be a hell of a wake! And per the article's remembrance, that send up of 'Caravan' that Roomful used to do before a break with Porky riding it home was something to behold. While I only have Roomful on LPs and no table I must defer to tossing on Big joe Turner and the boys doing "Red Sails In The Sunset".
  3. Bloody Hell!!! I did the same search and was amazed by the quality of those 'puppy's noses', all on one page. Geez, you Brits got me all confused!
  4. castor canadansis gotta gnaw!
  5. you know old PFUNK wazzan that far out a line.
  6. oh your right! that explains all the bizarre spam i receive!! i initially misspelled "brobblops" with only one 'p' in deference to the deutsch derivative from whence it comes.
  7. that's a quote from an esteemed member that i usurped out of context for it's absolutely perfect way to describe just about anything you might like it to. now looking at evan's avatar or even the bouncing berigans along with such a thought ... and the best part is that it's absolutely google-proof! now if only zee deer dokktur vas inkviring i might tell all. oh well here tis...from BFT 5: (edited)
  8. I feel that it should only be removed if you added some "small children or animals" under her feet having the absolute poop knocked out of them by her flailing gams. (subliminal message to couw)
  9. Frazetta poster sketch-
  10. and shop on 4/15 & add the code :"TAXDAY15" you might get another 15% off the bottom line as well?
  11. Thanks for the tip. I've never heard all of this soundtrack and from the looks it's not what Schifrin did with the ADR big band and re-hash "Bullitt" note for note with a new recording from a few years back but an actual re-issue. Nothing can beat that "Bullitt" soundtrack in all of Schifrin's oeuvre.
  12. Lon, if that's the "TouchStone" or "Out of this World" album then the tracks don't quite line-up save for "Scoochie"?
  13. ? anyone had a chance to hear this: DGA:"Great rare early 60s work from Herbie Hancock -- recorded for the Warwick label in the years before he moved over to Blue Note! The title supposedly makes it seem like this is stuff from Herbie's score to the film Blow Up -- but the tracks are really just some raw soul jazz sides that he cut in the early 60s, with a strong groove that's very nice, and a bit more open-ended than the Blue Note sides." Great set of jazz tracks supposedly recorded for, but left off of the "Blow Up" soundtrack from 1966. Liner notes are skimpy, source material questionable. Still a great set of straight ahead and soul-jazz numbers. Italian import. Herbie's Blues Rock Your Soul Jammin' With Herbie Hot & Heavy Night walker Hot Piano Live And Awake Scoochie Afro Boogie Far Out
  14. no googling yet but it's gotta be some highly prized semetic wine. but i thought we'd already been told it was a sooped up tractor.
  15. As well make certain there is "NO LOAD" on your line. If there is and the line you have, say, goes up the road beyond you and might split off somewhere then you need the tech to hook up a line with no load for your DSL. "You will accept nothing else."!!! The phone company at the local level is only concerned about "voice" and they have to do some serious work to get a good line to you if you live in a weather heavy or older hardwared area. Maybe Cary can explain more about this as well. And I think that Kevin just means that your line is your line and the bandwidth isn't shared across the neighborhood when all the teenagers come home from school and you can't do chit from 3:30 PM on. No?
  16. NO! Someone needs to give old Mosaic a good talking too unless of course the Select is taken from the original "stretched" tapes and the JRVG is taken from something else all together. And as good a sound translation as the mini-lp of "Oh, Baby!" And I'm not one for the RVGs anyhoo.
  17. I bet that would be real tasty with a nice wash down of cinnamon soda pop!
  18. As a kid I took many bike wipe-outs and one nasty one in particular left the knees completely thrashed. Well being just a kid I did not stop my grandmother's mutt from having at those knobs as I figured it better than a good dousing of mercurochrome. YEEOWWW! After a good canine inspired debriding the knees healed perfectly in short of a couple days! That dog was an evangelist. And having been bitten good by our kitten when fetching it out from under the oil tank in the cellar I can say that after fingers doubled in size and nasty anti-biotics took a good two weeks gimme a dog anytime.
  19. hey if you guys don't start spelling his name right i think i might just start liking bill F R I S E L L again!
  20. Not that I didn't like Jim Dye but Irwin Mainway is the best!!!
  21. Hell, I don't even have eyes in my nether lands... the moose strikes again.... you all had to have heard me laffing!
  22. Thanks Alexander... I posted something in another post regarding BFT #9 after receiving your disc yesterday but the topic was deleted. I too recognize many of the standards you cued up here. Recognizing PIANO players and trio sidemen is another thing all together. This one will be very hard for me as I'm not well versed to the idiosyncrasies of the ivories unless picking out something wacky. This one will be a real education.
