  1. Chuck, I am sure that some MRI's are unnecessary, but how many? My Dad had a Kidney removed years ago, The MRI showed the tumor. It showed my Mom's Cancer, and while she did die, I am sure she would have died much sooner if she never had one. I have had several. One on my neck(No disc problem) one on my back in 99 (Bad disc) and one on my back last month(another herniated disc) Before I got this one, I had a swell ER doc ignore the fact I was having trouble walking, or urinating. Finally, he ordered an X-Ray which showed... I had vertebraes! Waste of damn time. I do think the tests are too expensive. Jim, I feel your pain. This last one I had was much worse than any of the others. Way smaller inside, elbows against the side. I asked for headphones(Which I had back in 99) and they said they didn't have any, so just earplugs. Still pretty damn loud. Not normally claustrophobic, but I had to keep my eyes closed this time. Must have been an old machine. Will ask for an open MRI if there is a next time.
  2. I used to eat there all the time when I worked at Borders, because I had few other choices for lunch. I really liked eating outside of work, and working at borders meant being poor, so it was a win-win situation. 2 Cheeseburgers, and a large frie, yum! Funny thing is, it really was health food, I weighed a lot less when I ate the crap 5 days a week. Now, with a faulty gall bladder, I eat there once in a blue moon, and get the fish sandwich....Do like those damn greasy fries. Wish they'd go to the healthy oils.

  18. What years did that show run?
  19. I was checking out allmovie.com to see if I had forgotten a film of his I really liked, and stumbled across this one...anyone ever see it? Never on VHS or DVD, at least in the states it appears... The Great McGonagall I second, or 4th Ladykillers, so much better than the remake. As for Being There, it's very interesting. I remember seeing it when it came out, and being 12, I thought it was lame, where was the comedy? Then, I saw it several years later, and with no expectations, I really liked it. If I haven't seen it in awhile, I don't think as highly of it til it runs again...and I am again blown away by Seller's performance, and wonder why I was thinking it wasn't that good of a movie!
  20. N. Zealand filmmaker arrested in drag in US prostitution sting Feb 02 8:42 PM US/Eastern Email this story New Zealand filmmaker Lee Tamahori, who directed the James Bond movie "Die Another Day," has been arrested in a Hollywood prostitution sting while dressed in drag. Tamahori, 55, was arrested on January 8 when he allegedly sought sex with an undercover policeman while clad in women's clothes, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court. "Mr Tamahori was arrested for soliciting. I can confirm he was dressed in women's clothing at the time of the arrest," Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department said. Prosecutors confirmed they had filed two misdemeanour charges against the Hollywood filmmaker: agreeing to engage in an act of prostitution and unlawfully loitering on Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard. "He was arrested after approaching an undercover officer who was sitting in his car and offering to perform a sex act," Frank Mateljan of the Los Angeles City Attorney's office. "The defendant was dressed in drag, loitering on the sidewalk," the spokesman said. Tamahori also directed last year's action adventure "XXX: State of the Union" with Samuel L. Jackson and Willem Dafoe and 2001's "Along Came a Spider" with Morgan Freeman. He is due to appear in court in Los Angeles on February 24 to be arraigned on the two charges. He is free on 2,000 dollars bail, according to the City Attorney's office. Tamahori's lawyer, celebrity attorney Mark Geragos, did not immediately return calls for comment on the arrest of the filmmaker. He started out as a commercial artist and photographer in New Zealand, before entering the film industry in the late 1970 as a boom microphone operator, going on to become an assistant director. Tamahori got his break in Hollywood directing an episode of the hit television series "The Sopranos" in 2000 and went on do "Spider" the following year, before making "Die Another Day" starring Piece Brosnan and Oscar-winning Bond girl Halle Berry in 2002. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/02/02/0...9.ygp5w1s5.html
  21. You have all 3 cars right now??? Wow! Why no AMC??? Have a photo of the Cranbrook?(Never even heard of it! )
  22. Rooster, is your car burning the oil(Blue smoke) or just leaking/using 2 quarts every 3K??? A fair bit of miles, but still cheaper to reseal/rebuild a motor than buy a new car that will lose value right away. BUT, if you have your heart set on a hybrid, check out this site... http://www.priuschat.com/ ( I think hybirds are the wave of the future, but there still are some issues to be worked out, such as the high voltage cables, that can be a safety issue for rescue workers in case of an accident)
  23. I happened to see this a few days ago, nice LTD it is... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
  24. This is now our "newest" car, a 75 Lincoln Continental Coupe. A fair bit of rust on this Wisconsin car, but was only $900. Most comfortable seats I have ever sat in.
