  6. Well, every year the Braves are world beaters before the playoffs, then you realize that the starters don't throw all that hard....John Smoltz still has the best arm on the team... Are the Cards finally going to rest some of the regulars? Tony needs to remember that Albert Pujols is playing with the same painful foot problem that hobbled McGuire for much of his career, and that Edmonds is 34 and shouldn't play just about every damn game....Cards and Yankees, with the Cards winning in 7....hope, hope, hope....Yankees cannot win again!!!!
  7. Harpo led a big band? I've been looking for Chico's, which I could've sworn I saw on a Laserlight CD years ago--but I'd like to hear Harpo's as well. I played Don Byron's "Abie the Fishman" & yakked about the Marxes on-air today. Ghost, I remember seeing that cd all the time as well....Funny, doing a search, I could have sworn Scatman Crothers was on it as well...turned out to be Dezi Arnaz! A little more on it halfway down the list... http://www.marx-brothers.org/listening/records.htm Just saw that there is a link to Amazon, several for sale cheap! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...8602282-4872952

  13. Well, I am glad to see "change" as well. Plus, a big reason they are doing this is money. The Mint has made a mint(Sorry, last bad pun...in this post) selling proof quarter sets...My Mom got a few of them a year or so ago, and she hadn't bought any proof sets in decades. Hell, until the nickel getting a new back design, the nickel had been exactly the same since 1939! The Dime has been unchanged since 1946(Well, they were silver til 1964) Penny has had Lincoln on front since 1909, back has been the same since 1959...change will hopefully create new fans of coins....
  14. Hey Ghost...is this Jane Greer?????

  20. Smelly robot eats flies to generate its own power September 9, 2004 Page Tools Email to a friend Printer format British scientists are developing a robot that will generate its own power by eating flies. The idea is to produce electricity by catching flies and digesting them in special fuel cells that will break down sugar in the insects' skeletons and release electrons that will produce an electric current. "Called EcoBot II, the robot is part of a drive to make 'release and forget' robots that can be sent into dangerous or inhospitable areas to carry our remote industrial or military monitoring of, say, temperature or toxic gas concentrations," New Scientist magazine said yesterday. Chris Melhuish and his team, who are developing the robot, have to manually feed the flies to EcoBot II because they are still designing some type of pump to suck the insects into it. "One of the great things about flies is that you can get them to come to you," he said. Hence the downside of the fully autonomous robot: it will have to use sewage or excrement to attract the flies and is bound to smell appallingly. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/09/08/...l?oneclick=true
