I bring this old thread up again because I'm currently trying to 'catagorize' my record collection. While I (we!) have profound information regarding BLUE NOTE pressings (DG, ear, labeling, etc.), I wonder if there are some pressing/label information on Prestige, Contemporary, NJ, Pacific, Jattland, Riverside, ...................? Any links or other sources?! Thanks in advance.

Benny Golson appeared yesterday at Widder Bar in Zürich. I enjoyed it very much. It is always a pleasure to listen to such a legend in a live atmosphere. He played some standards (Whisper not, Are you real, …) and some other tunes of his own hugh repertoire (i.e. Stablemates or I remember Clifford, which is also a standard -_- ). He was accompanied by Antonio Farao, piano – Margo Vaggi, bass – Marcello Nisi, drums.

It's € not $.But a good deal anyway .....

This one is not often mentioned here but it is one of my favorite box sets. The Cole Porter song book is a landmark recording, the Gershwin, Ellington, Arlen, and Rodgers/Hart song books are also great. This lovely red box with the papersleeve covers has a special place on my shelf. I bought it when it was released which means that I have this one for more than 10 years! Time flies!
