I have no discography books here. My question: Can we expect extensive unreleased material?!
If not I'll also pass on this one for the same reason sidewinder mentioned. Otherwise it's a 10,000 Mosaic/Universal release with a european low price guaranty!
Prestige is a very good example. Late 60ies blue label pressings in very good shape are often in the $35-$50 range nowadays. Same with white and black fan Atlantic originals.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh YES! Only a few must haves:
The Shelly Manne live dates
Curtis Counce
Art Pepper
Hampton Hawes - Four!
Barney Kessel - Feeling free
Lennie Niehaus (Vol. 5 is a good start)
The lighthouse series
I this label!
2005 was not a good year for vinyl collector's wallets. I payed more for my LPs this year compared to the years before. More and more jazz listeners reactivating their turntables. Hopefully this is not only a short hype and we'll see more new vinyl releases next year.
Maybe our Vinyl Frontier corner will explode in 2006!
I found this on the MOSAIC website:

Not much love here for this chello/flute combination. For me it is a masterpiece.
Time out was my first encounter with jazz music (O.K. The first review in Down Beat told us it is NOT jazz ). It is still one of my favorites and will ever be.
Happy birthday!

That's what it is. An excellent trio date!
