  1. Slovakia - Germany 2 - 0 No jokes please. This terrible team is pain enough!
  2. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!!!
  3. Maybe I know why very soon. I ordered the set from Towers and it is just on the way...
  4. As always...
  5. - Jazz Crusaders - Charles Tolliver - The Thelonious Monk Quartet With John Coltrane At Carnegie Hall ( MQ1-231 Mosaic (200-gram)HQ-LP - Chu Berry - McCoy Tyner Most of the other future releases I already have on LP and I'm up to date with the released stuff.
  6. Lee Konitz - Worthwhile Konitz (ATLANTIC Japan only) Gerry Mulligan - California concerts (PACIFIC PJ-50, orig. US pressing) Chico Hamilton Quintet feat. Buddy Collette (PACIFIC 1209, KING, Japan)
  7. I agree.
  8. Miles - Sketches of Spain (Columbia, UK pressing) Classic!
  9. Maybe this one is still available: John Denver & The Muppets A Christmas Together RCA Records - AFL1-3451
  10. I would buy in this order: Art of the Trio Vol.1 Art of the Trio Vol.4 Anything goes Largo Live in Tokyo is a solo concert with very good moments. His Radiohead song interpretation is great.
  11. The CD set is still in print, the LP version not.
  12. My first one was the Woody Shaw. I have sold a lot Mosaics for different reasons (but never before copying the booklet ): a) the sound: Morgan b) the music: Jones/Lewis & Kenton c) found lovely LP's as a replacement: Cherry and some of the Pacific, BN and Atlantic boxes d) crazy eBay members from Japan : Basie & Cole
  13. Only 75! Both Mosaics, the RCA box, and some single releases (Columbia). Which period/label I need next?!
  14. The guitar album - The historic Town Hall Concert (2LP, CBS 1972) I'm not sure if this concert deserves to be called historic. But it is a very good recording with some very nice musicians on it (Tiny Grimes, Chuck Wayne, Charlie Byrd, Joe Beck, Bucky Pizzarelli, George Barnes & John McLaughlin). One highlight: Joe Beck together with Al Harewood & Larry Ridley.
  15. Couw, Thanks for the links!
  16. I do, I do! And good old vinyl, of course! I try to understand why BN Japan created this re-re-re-reissue series with exactly the same titles as released before? They did this extremly well job back in the 90'ies (TOCJ). Then this marketing-lp retro style-JRVG-series started in 1998 with additional Encore titles ("2nd pressings"!). Now these low budget CD's. In addition to that we have the USRVG and Connoisseur titles which are available in Japan too. Who is buying this stuff over and over again? The first batches of this new TOCJ24 are sold out now! The Blue Note phenomenon! Strange but interesting .
  17. Yes!
  18. Could someone post a list of this Limited Edition series? Thanks in advance. Is it correct that BN Japan will re-re-re-release 300 titles with this series?!
  19. Hmm. It is still listed in the running low section. Either they forgot to update the homepage or they still have some more sets in stock.
  20. Larry Young - Contrasts (BN Liberty, german pressing) Jimmy Smith - Softly as a summer breeze (New York, us pressing)
  21. The follow up release "More of the great Alexandria" is also recommended. I'm not sure if this one is available on CD. "This writer is sure Miss Alexandria will understand if I say the album is worth getting for Wynton Kelly's piano alone." (George Hoefer, liner notes) Excellent.
  22. Anita first, JJJ later but early enough! -_-
  23. Benny Carter - Jazz giant (orignal mono release)
  24. I received my copy this Tuesday! Thanks!
  25. Crazy! 90% of this music is still available. Art Blakey Mosaic set
