  1. ...and there are quite a few 20% off coupons out there for Tower right now. Not sure they can all be combined with the sale prices, but I imagine that some can.
  2. Happy Feliz! (Yeah, I know.)
  3. Well, I got cancelled because I don't have a 'physical' address, only a post office box. If anyone end up with a copy of Bill Evans at the Manne Hole they don't want, $5 shipped and I'll take it.
  4. How 'bout "Hawes by a 'fro"?
  5. Kriek or Lambic, yes. A lemon jammed in the neck of a Corona or floating in a hefe? No.
  6. While shopping, I couldn't help but remember the OJC sale at J&R a year or two back, where "we" all ordered a million CDs and some attractive (though not THIS attractive price), and they came through with about 10% of what was ordered. But that was J&R.
  7. Actually, in my case, you have hit the nail precisely on the head. Tomorrow's paycheck has already evaporated.
  8. Uh, one... But guess what everyone's going to get for Christmas?
  9. I enjoy both Evans and Hawes. But let's be real here. I LIKE Evans, but DIG Hawes. No offense, but I can't look at Evans and see "DIG". Like? Love? Cherish? Enjoy? Sure. He swings. Hawes? LIKE? He seems like a likeable enough guy. Having read his autobio, I'm not convinced he'd LIKE me. Maybe. "Mr. Hawes, I sure like your music" Nah. "Dig! Hamp Hawes!"
  10. Without that site, I'm considerably wealthier. ...all things relative, of course.
  11. Man, I wish I was 17. Enjoy it!
  12. Strike that. Working on Thursday night.
  13. Anyone going to Charles Gayle on Thursday? I'm hoping to carve out a little time...
  14. Aric heck; I wonder what Hank's doing.
  15. Man, you must be old. These days you'd be 7.1 channel, matrixed surround sound Jack. That's cool. I'm two-channel. Until I get 7.1 ears. Happy Birthday.
  16. Birthday Greetings from here.
  17. Hey, hey. Happy Birthday!
  18. Now I'm curious. Which Mosaic box was it and what made you decide to return it? -- unless there is some reason you would prefer not to say. It was the Goodman Capitol box. I hadn't seen a discography before buying it. When I got it, I realized I already had 93 percent of the material (including some of the 'unissued'), so I returned it and picked another box with more revelations.
  19. I've only gotten rid of one CD or LP in my life - other than some duplicates. The one that "went"? A Mosaic box. (No regrets. And bless Mosaic for its reasonable return policy. I've been back many times since.)
  20. Congratulations to you both. I'm looking forward to 43...someday. After almost 18, I have some appreciation for the joy, the work and the compromise involved. And so I repeat, congratulations.
  21. I went opening night, then a few weeks later for James Moody. One of the better jazz clubs in the area.
  22. I've got the LP too...with the photo cover. I'm not much for vocals, but, in the right frame of mind, I rather like this album. The title track can be somewhat affecting.
  23. Frankly, I was excited about the CD because I figured it'd offer something more than my old tape. More music, more fidelity, whetever. It's still good, but I'm going to have to back off from my initial excitement. Oh, and after listening to the CD, it does sound like Criss on the first concert cut.
