  1. Yes, I liked it very much!
  2. This again: Nancy Harrow with Jack Wilkins - Two's Company (Inner City, 1984)
  3. R.I.P. I love how Morganstern always described his foremost role as being a "jazz advocate." That says a great deal about his relationship with the music.
  4. Baden Powell - Selección (Barclay/Movie Play ES, rel. 1981) A terrific compilation of tracks originally released 1964 - 1971.
  5. Jazztrack & Norma Winstone - Flying Stork (Musicians Record Co. - EMI Electrola, 1979) First listen.
  6. Now spinning: Lorez Alexandria - How Will I Remember You? (Discovery, 1978)
  7. I had no idea that this existed. Thanks for the heads-up.
  8. R.I.P.
  9. This is a compilation of cuts originally released on two French labels: Barclay and Festival. Rather than a compilation, I'd love to see a comprehensive box set reissue of BP's music on those labels. But I suppose that's unlikely to ever happen. So this'll do. Over the last couple years, Powell has become one of my favorite musicians -- in any genre.
  10. Ordered today: and That's a treasure trove. Listen to Stokowski's Wagner. It's AMAZING!
  11. Next up: The companion album, which is possibly even better than the first one.
  12. Now playing Disc 2 from this set: The Best of Duke Ellington (1932-1939) ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
