Last night, I finished Max Gordon's memoir, Live at the Village Vanguard. I enjoyed it. Gordon is an adept storyteller and writer. I only wish the book were longer!
Today, I started reading Carlos Santana's autobiography, The Universal Tone.
Perhaps. ... I never had a chance to see the ERM. I was just a kid when Woods disbanded the group and returned to the U.S. ... But I think they made some impressive recordings -- including the one I posted above.
An excellent record, IMO.
Oh yeah, I have The Village Caller and like it very much.
But my favorite Johnny Lytle recordings are his two Milestone LPs, compiled on this CD:

Danny Moore also plays very well on Strozier's next album for SteepleChase, What's Goin' On. ... I like that album even more than Remember Me. (Not for Moore's work in particular; just in general.)
