So true. There are PLENTY of classical LPs & CDs in my collection that I paid a one or two dollars for. And not crappy records. Many, many outstanding recordings. Great artists on top-shelf labels. Seems like hardly anyone wants classical music anymore -- especially vinyl. Good for me, I guess.

Coleman Hawkins - Rainbow Mist (Delmark) Some of "the first bebop recordings" -- with Diz, Max, Pettiford, and others. I gotta say: This sounds as much like swing as bop to me. ... But whatever you call it, the music is wonderful. and Clifford Brown and Max Roach - At Basin Street (EmArcy) Simon, I dig Art Hodes, but I've never heard that LP. Good stuff?
