  1. For sure, Jim. What's that tune you guys play from this cd? It was written by Tommy Turrentine. You guys play it well.
  2. I'll have you know Moose that Defensive Tackle, "Big" Ted Washington (6'-4", 375lbs) can move well enough to pass coach Bill Belichick's rigorous fitness tests.
  3. Aw shucks, nothing wrong with hockey. Not as exciting as the NFL, but it sure beats baseball! (Save it, Ghost and Johnny!)
  4. Hmm, I still have to check out my Conn version to decide whether the upgrade is necessary or not. I guess this may have answered it for me. Seems like that's going to be a hot RVG.
  5. Actually, she has adopted the Rastafarian religion and the new title will be, NORAH AYREE!
  6. Couw's got it on his bedroom wall. My book on Courbet discreetly states that it is "from a private collection." Yeah, it's art to Couw alright... B)
  7. Isn't EMG just a cover for rabies shots? Who you been hanging out with DEEP?
  8. Ever been in GROPE's apartment?
  9. Hey Couw-Boy, weren't you the one that plastered that picture of a woman's genitalia on a thread and called it "The Origin of Life" or somesuch nonsense? That costed us a couple of newbies, I bet!
  10. I agree that there has been a lot of disturbing stuff on that thread, but I don't know how people can stay oversensitive and innocent while surfing the internet. Lots of shocking things around.
  11. EMG? I don't think MRIs are uncomfortable proceedures, DEEP. I think it's like taking x-rays. The only discomfort is from lying down on the cold gurney with that paper tissue apron they make you wear instead of your fashionable clothes. Then you've got some young lady taking see-through pics of you while you lie there in your undies and tissue-thin apron. Pretty humiliating, but no painful. (This has now become the medical thread.)
  12. Did someone mention Johnny E? now, that was quite an obnoxious remark conn man! Shoulda seen it before I edited it down.
  13. My take on it, Ed is that you've got all types of people in life you may not happen to like. This is natural. If there happens to be a couple of posters who rub you the wrong way, then that shouldn't necessitate your departure from the board. Now if the place is swarming with chimps, then that's a different story! DEEP is confined to a thread; therefore, he is contained. GregM was basically confined to politics, but he really pissed a lot of people off. I've got a generally high tolerance level for people and it will take a lot more than those two guys to chase me out of here. I always got along fine with Bev, but he is way too sensitive if he left on account of DEEP. He must not get out much... I don't like hockey because of the fights...
  14. Did someone mention Johnny E?
  15. Not so! The Babe thread would virtually come to a screeching halt as Beri, Evan and Jazzbo would be left swapping pics with each other.
  16. It seems as if Subway outlets are committed to the Atkins' diet. It's a big part of their recent success.
  17. Both wear bandanas? I used to listen to Hendrix in my college days. Anything from "Electric Ladyland." "Voodoo Chile" is one of the greatest electric guitar songs ever.
  18. You ever seen Artis the Spoonman? Pretty amazing cat. Just don't stick him on your next blindfold disc, okay Jim?
  19. My guess would be that this board was established independently of the honchos in corporate Blue Note. I'd expect it was set up by Blue Note Europe, perhaps with BN's tacit approval, or even then maybe not (?). My guess is that it was set up by the same fellahs who created those Spanish Blue Note cds.
  20. Thanks Street. I did check out the info and it seems like a big rigmarole. You have to befriend a few people and you don't necessarily get into this huge shooting war with everyone wearing power armor. It's more fun not to finish the game and just try to shoot everybody instead!
  21. Dammit! never thought about it from that angle...
  22. You really know how to hit below the belt, don't you? That's only the album that hooked me on jazz to begin with. What can I say? And yet even with Coltrane, I can only take so much soprano. With Shorter (who's tone sounds somewhat nasal to me already) I can handle far less before giving up. Figures Moose. You and I have similar music tastes, so I'm not surprised you dig that tune. That was one of the first tunes which attracted me to jazz as well. And McCoy Tyner...
