  1. Any of you guys read "The Sport's Guy" whose columns appear on espn.nfl? That guy is incredibly funny. During the Titans-Pats game, the cameras were on Titan's coach, Jeff Fisher, who was sporting a gigantic frozen booger on his moustache. The Sports Guy couldn't believe that one of Fisher's assistants couldn't have informed him, "Look, Jeff. We're on national television, and you've got this 15-pound ice booger frozen to your moustache..." It is so true. Fisher must not have a very close coaching staff.
  2. Sounds like a blast, Free. How far is KC from here??
  3. I'll be laughing when we beat your "exciting" Colts, Chris. If the Colts win, I won't show up! When the Pats win their second SuperBowl in three years, the other teams will finally recognize what mindset builds winning football teams; and they will follow the Pats' methods of picking up reasonably-priced free agents and hire good coaching staff to make good players out of them. The successful NFL teams will be boring (to Chris;) and he will then go back to his "exciting" NBA! Again, if the Colts win, I'm AWOL!!
  4. I too like ambient noise when I sleep. During the summer, I put on the ceiling fan, and I play a jazz cd during the Winter. Another thing that helps me sleep is my furry sleeping pill. I take my cat to bed. He settles at my feet and his cleaning motions (as he washes himself) puts me under.
  5. Might want to bring up the subject of Canadian History over to the insomniacs in the "What Time Do you go to bed" thread in the Misc. Non political forum.
  6. Thanks Brad. That was it. I was hoping to get that term from our loveable and loquacious Patty.
  7. Gotta admit, Chris, that I was thinking the same thing. I thought DEEP had mestasized into two the way that microscopic asexual organisms do. Huh, "asexual?" Scratch that! We know DEEP better than that!
  8. Very true, and it should be that way. We've got people at home who need help too. Can't afford to be spilling dollars all around the world unless it helps our economy in some way. I certainly don't support spilling bucks abroad just to spread Democracy. No thanks!!
  9. Great pic, Dan. Cute dog. My cat likes jazz, I think. He usually flops down when I've got it on. I see his ears moving around like antennae to the sounds. I'm not much of a fan of muted trumpets either, so I can't blame those animals that don't like it.
  10. I must also add that I'm not too knowledgeable about NFC teams, so my pick of the Eagles might be shaky. Carolina can defnitely beat them. Not strong on that pick at all.
  11. Maybe next year for the Browns, SS. You are a real fan to support them like that. Good for you. My picks are Eagles and Patriots. Colts are scary though. I also believe that those are the two best teams in football right now.
  12. Depends on how hard I'm working. If my work schedule is light, I stay up till all hours of the night. Lately, I've been hitting the sack at 2 pm. Gotta change that...
  13. Canada was there Patty because England was there. Canada wasn't quite independent at the time. They had some degree of autonomy but not completely. Perhaps you could remind me of the details of the arrangement. I forgot the term used.
  14. Nothing escapes you guys in the cyber world, does it? I guess I'm missing out all kinds of good stuff by trying to spend my time outside of the internet.
  15. Another good one for me under similar circumstances would be Duke Pearson, "The Phantom."
  16. For those of us like myself who do not own any Mosaics, my preference would be to see Blue Note reissue some of those sessions which have not seen the light of day on cd format outside the Mosaic aegis. I would love to see Patton, "That Certain Feeling." Great session. I only have a burn of it. Would jump at the chance to buy a copyrighted version without having to buy a Mosaic set of other sessions I already own.
  17. Also, having heard Organissimo first hand, my preference is to hear more of them. Mah type of music!
  18. He told me we were going to McDonalds. That was two hours ago!
  19. That's a magnificent painting, Maren.
  20. Randy doesn't need all that stuff. He's a one-man marching band with his "little" kit.
  21. Oh yeah, you guys played "Odd Couple" as well. Came out pretty good too.
  22. Did you play "Lee-Ann" again on Saturday, Jim?
  23. Was that Caddy Shack or Chicken Shack? My kid was bugging me about checking his homework as I was typing. Man, this is funny!
  24. Why disgruntled former fan, Ghost? Seems you would have caught the Indy fever given your locale.
  25. Some real dissing of the NFC on my part, eh Jimbo? I suppose it might be possible for the NFC to win the Super Bowl this year. But I doubt it. Sure, the rankings get mixed if the NFC wins. But on current power rankings: 1. New England 2. Indianapolis My opinion of course!
