  1. I don't like players from the Pats going to the Pro Bowl. It usually means salary increases and departures. Hope everyone from the Cowboys go!
  2. Have to disagree. Technical analysis is a tool. It's isn't the "answer"--nothing is. But it can be a useful tool. If you don't think the market doesn't pay attention to support and resistance levels, you're nuts!
  3. Week 14 Results: Noj 10-6 Conn 11-5 Van B. 10-6 Year to Date Results: Noj 148-76 Conn 145-79 Van B. 140-84 Only two weeks remaining before playoffs, but anyone can still win this. We will pick during playoffs as well.
  4. Cowboys must be pissed that the suspension was for only one game. He sucks on the field!
  5. NE played lackluster in a few games this season--against Philly too. But in the end they WIN. That's the difference, I guess.
  6. New England-Jets game was a real snoozer. I was watching it at a sports bar with the Pittsburgh-Jacksonville game on the neighboring screen. The Jacksonville game was definitely better. Pats look like their sleepwalking their way through the end of the season. They better pick it up for the playoffs. They look uninterested. Another snoozer against Miami scheduled next weekend.
  7. I feel the same way, Jim. You could always leave a little in the kitty to handle emergency maintenance costs (if such a thing exists.) But there's no reason why you can't repay at least a good portion of what you had to divert into maintaining the existence of this board.
  8. What's it to you? I was thinking the same thing. But then I remember that Dan was amongst those who mailed in checks. I suspect he wants to see the effect of such mailings. But then, maybe I should let him answer.
  9. Complete Week 14 picks: HOUSTON CINCINNATI TAMPA BAY SEATTLE JACKSONVILLE GREEN BAY BALTIMORE (Almost picked Miami here, but now that it's public knowledge the team is us for sale...why should the players play hard?) NEW ENGLAND NEW ORLEANS CLEVELAND TENNESSEE INDIANAPOLIS DALLAS SAN DIEGO NY GIANTS MINNESOTA
  10. Sad news. I'm happy that I caught him live last year.
  11. Week 14 results: Noj 14-2 (Noj missed a pick. Don't know which game it was, but it must be counted as a loss) Conn 14-2 Van B. 11-5 Year to Date totals: Noj 138-70 Conn 134-74 Van B. 130-78
  12. Got to get my pick in before the game starts. For tonight: HOUSTON I'll get my other picks in by tomorrow.
  13. Great story on Earl Campbell, who was the best running back I ever witnessed. I rate Barry Sanders as the second best I've seen, but it must be mentioned that I didn't watch NFL during my 11 years in Thailand and missed out on Eric Dickerson. http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sp...09campbell.html
  14. Monster.com might be interested in these details.
  15. ...damn, too slow on the Pepper:-( me, too. damn. With Onslow as your avatar, you wouldn't be fast!
  16. Doesn't matter....they'd just blow it on some Alex Smith-type anyway I doubt very much that they will keep the pick. They'll likely prefer to trade down for multiple picks or deferred picks. McFadden might be interesting, but I say they trade the pick away. Cowboys interested in McFadden? Jones apparently is. Cowboys have two first rounders this year. btw, NE is one of a handful of teams with an outstanding draft record over the past 5-10 years. They usually don't blow their picks.
  17. I second that recommendation.
  18. Agg=dick! Belichick=dick! Jerry Jones=dick!
  19. Yep. That was a dumb mistake, typical of the Lions. I thought that too, except that was not an easy ball to collect. It was moving at him pretty fast and was rolling around. Not sure you could just fall on that ball. No question that he was trying to pick it up and run. He didn't try to fall on it. Not sure he could have; but it was worth a shot.
  20. Check back through the Patriot schedule this year and you'll find that many of the teams played terribly after losing to the Patriots. It's as if their spirits had been broken. I include the Colts in that category. They lost to San Diego after losing to the Patriots. The only team which didn't seem devastated was Dallas, who seemed to get even better afterwards.
  21. Won't the Pats forfeit that pick if they win the Super Bowl? No! They have already forfeited their own-scheduled first rounder.
  22. The San Fran first round pick now own by the Patriots, currently translates into the second pick of the draft! Keep on losing, San Fran!
  23. Happy Birthday, Ghostie!
