  1. Who is the brave soul who admitted to "none?"
  2. OK, who was the 21+? Fess up!
  3. I've got 11. Few have voted yet, but I bet I stand at the lower to mid range of voters here. We'll see.
  4. But then wouldn't the other discs in the set sound dull or "muffled" to you? Will get back to you on that, Chief. Have to pull em out and give them another listen.
  5. Interesting to see the responses.
  6. I listented to disc 1 yesterday. Sounded fine to me. I like lots of treble. Stanley's sound is very deep so the cymbal work is a nice trebbly compliment. Maybe my ears aren't sophisticated enough.
  7. Hey, why couldn't I've gotten your guy! I say Sangry bribed him. -_-
  8. Hmmm.....what do YOU consider bad beer? The thought that there is beer bad enough that Conn considers it bad kind of scares me... I don't know how I developed this reputation as a lover of bad beer, when I made the switch to lite beer as a way to cut down on alcohol and calories. Before that I was all for Stellar Artois, Heineken, Bavik, Sapporo, Kirin Ichibahn, Smithwyck's and the like.... Now I'm just plain cutting down altogether. It's part of the process. Hey, I love the good stuff just as others do, but we all have to make concessions. Beer is loaded with calories. Let's see how you look when your my age, Agg.... I've definitely been able to control my weight as a result of such concessions.
  9. I would definitely urge you to call them. Greg K received his order of 7/22. Don't leave anything up to those guys. They are too swamped to know the location of their heads and arses!
  10. I've noticed this interesting spelling here off late in the Concord related threads. Is this a pun on the overview of the Concord people on what they have in stock, a case of good market placement by Wherehouse Records, or too much bad beer? In the case of some of us who ordered the Coltrane box but apparently will not get it, it is the "werehouse", as in, "there were some in the house, but now there aren't." Want to split up the box, Ron? I keep the discs, box and the booklet, and you get the jewel cases? No, in all seriousness, don't give up hope just yet. Your order (7/24, right?) might still have made the cutoff.
  11. I've noticed this interesting spelling here off late in the Concord related threads. Is this a pun on the overview of the Concord people on what they have in stock, a case of good market placement by Wherehouse Records, or too much bad beer? I put my vote in for too much bad beer. -_- (Also, I type in a big rush)
  12. OK, guys. How about $10 for the Mobley TOCJ that's left?
  13. I called Concord and expressed my displeasure over the fact that I didn't receive the box set while others who had ordered after me had done so. The representative said he'd check into it and get back to me. As it turns out, there are a few left in the werehouse and they are trying to fill orders sent 7/18 to 7/22 and go from there. Mine has been confirmed as shipped. Wow! Those guys are still messed up, because the rep. apologized for having "cancelled" my order. What does that mean? I guess he meant that he had prematurely told me that my order would not be filled?? Weird. Anyway, the box is on its way. I highly recommend those who placed their orders within the above time frame to call to see if they'll get theirs. In the meantime, I must express thanks to Ron S., who urged me to call them. And I also wanted to thank Greg K., who pointed out that he had received his order for the box which was placed on 7/22...four days after mine. Thanks guys....
  14. Cool avatar photo, Nojjy. Are those your cigs rolled up at the top of your sleeve?
  15. Contract extension talks between the Steelers and Cowher have broken off. Looks like "the chin's" final year with the Steelers. The players will no longer need to bring towels to practice in order to wipe the spit off their helmets. Whisenhunt to be next year's coach?
  16. How much were the Coltrane (and Evans) box sets at the Concord sale??? I saw them while they were still available, but ordered 50 or so individual CDs instead. I should have ordered the sets, too... The Coltrane box set was going for $69.99. Great price!
  17. I had my wedding ceremony in Sterling, Scotland.
  18. yeah, I miss having this cover. I sold my copy when I bought the Mosaic box set. "Off to the Races" is a cool cover too.
  19. PMs returned to Tom, Hans, and Vint. List is now updated.
