  1. You can now buy the Ellington BLANTON-WEBSTER set from BMG club.
  2. I'm interested in this set, just waiting for the money to pile up.
  3. I picked up the CD from Tower Records in Marina Del Rey, CA and there were no inserts.

    June 23 Reissues

I got this one. You can get it Deepdiscountcd.com for $9.97
  5. How does this compare to the DEFINITIVE 3-CD set that's out on the market?
  6. If there are any David Bowie lovers - BMG has several remastered Bowie CD available. Country fans? Some Derailers CDs are listed: Here Come & Geniune
  7. You can get THE EASY WAY from Deepdiscountcd.com http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?re...he%20easy%20way for $9.97 (free shipping / no tax)
  8. Has anybody purchased a Mosaic set from Deepdiscountcd ? I've purchased other cds / dvds / box sets from them before. The Gene Krupa / Harry James set is priced at $94.86. This could be right, because I also saw the Mosaic set at a local record store for $80. So they are making some profit on this item. I assume these are slow movers that Mosaic is selling to retailers at reduced prices. Mosaic probably doesn't want the public to know about these deals.
  9. With CDRW making cdrs of 'rare' cds seems like the value of CDs would be reduced slightly. But you look at ebay and you can see some OOP CDs that sell for big bucks. Even alot of the OOP CD Mosaic sets sell for $40-50/disc sometimes. I just saw a Joan Armatrading CD sell for $140, yet you can get the LP for $1.
  10. Shit, I missed that ad. Target was advertising the CDs and DVDs for $15.99 this week. Hey wait, the 3-CD set is only 150 minutes long. Why wasn't this put on 2 discs? (guess there's a sucker born every minute)
  11. Are you talking about music sales in general or EMI Group sales? If EMI is worried, they can always re-issue Beatles #2 or #3. For music in general, it just might mean there's nothing new worth buying. What would you recommend to the general public? (besides Norah Jones)
  12. Does that mean it won't sell as well as Rod? If jazz fans like it, will it be a low seller? Rod sold pretty well. I think he's gonna do another standards type album. I like Boz, so I'll probably get it now matter what.
  13. I think the next sale on ebay only went for $6. (asking price)

  18. The complete Dexter Gordon at the Keystone was released in Japan. (3CDs) The individual CDs were released in the USA. Vol. 1, 2, 3. in the early 90's. Someone mentioned there wasn't any more to offer and that Blue Note wasn't too keen on putting this out as a Mosaic Select. Probably didn't sell too well.
  19. Yes, Buy the J. J. Johnson. Love those columbia albums.
  20. I see a used box set for sale at the local used store for $100.
  21. The Dixie Chicks are great. All of their albums are worth getting. I'm sure if Miles Davis or John Lennon were around, he would have made a comment about the war or President too. Big deal.
  22. - Piece for Clarinet and Strings is in the "Konitz meets Giuffre" twofer (now OOP but fairly easy to find) Claude, thanks for the info. I'll go get this one. It's on Half.com for under $20
  23. I still buy their products from 'used' stores.
