    Uncle John Turner

As the drummer on those first three Johnny Winter albums, Progressive Blues Experiment, Johnny Winter & Second Winter - he changed my life. Those albums were great, they still sound amazing to me today, thirty something years after I first heard them. obit, rip. I knew him from the Yahoo Johnny Winter email list, it was a lot of fun doing the email hang.
  5. Enjoy yer self man!
  6. Go into Tools Options and turn the pop ups off.
  7. Have fun, let us know what the music scene is like!
  8. I found the second game harder to play. Too much downdraft from the fan and I only got the plane outside once. Bah.
  9. I have that. It's been a long time since I listened to it.
  10. I'd go on a Hovaness CD buying binge now, but all my music purchases are suspended for the foreseeable future.
  11. Vision of a Starry Night. The piano player is Marvin Rosen, who has a classical show on WPRB (Princeton). This morning he was spinning Janabar, a new release on OgreOgress. (They're the folks that recorded my string qt.) Plus, I've heard a lot of his pieces on the radio over the years, and performances at Julliard.
  12. Any fans out there? I like what I've heard so far.
  13. I got 91 meters. I'm having problems getting out the window regularly.

    The mystery deepens.
  15. I gave it up for a few years, only really use it in the morning. Any later than that and it keeps me up all night.
  16. Shit Jim....I drink it for the caffeine.
  17. Since I live next to Newark airport, I find it hard to believe you can't hear an airplane.
  18. do it early.
  19. and she needed PR right up to the end? Wow.
  20. time for a facelift? Aye Matey, awwwwk! Yep. What the hell is that anyway?
  21. That place used to be my first port-of-call in LA - but I'm talking 10ish years ago or before, sadly. Bought a couple of the Miles CD sets there at good discounts (which was virtually impossible at the time in the UK) plus they always had some rare TOCJs lurking in the racks. Astonishing place, at its peak. Right on. The second to the last time I was out there, about seven years ago, it used to take me over two hours to comb through their jazz bins-it just seemed like there was no end to it. No other Tower that I've been to (perhaps only the Tower in Soho riveled it; they did have a jazz mini-lp cd bin) came nowhere close to the Hollywood Tower. You mean the place in NYC on E.4th? They got those from the Princeton Record Exchange.
  22. Same here...watch out for the road rage.
