WTF, either the piano is amplified or not.

OK, it was just a thought. Then too bad there isn't the equivalent of a table.
  7. Students invent powdered booze June 6, 2007 AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (Reuters) -- Dutch students have invented powdered alcohol which they say can be sold legally to minors. The latest innovation in inebriation, called Booz2Go, is available in 20-gram packets that cost €1-1.5 ($1.35-$2). Top it up with water and you have a bubbly, lime-colored and -flavored drink with just 3 percent alcohol content. "We are aiming for the youth market. They are really more into it because you can compare it with Bacardi-mixed drinks," 20-year-old Harm van Elderen told Reuters. Van Elderen and four classmates at Helicon Vocational Institute, about an hour's drive from Amsterdam, came up with the idea as part of their final-year project. "Because the alcohol is not in liquid form, we can sell it to people below 16," said project member Martyn van Nierop. The legal age for drinking alcohol and smoking is 16 in the Netherlands. The students said companies interested in making the product commercially could avoid taxes because the alcohol was in powder form. A number of companies are interested, they said.

Too bad we can't create html tables here, AFAIK. It would be nice to get a bit more control over photos and text.
  13. Happy Birthday Kalo, all the best. Play safely on your birthday...unless you're making music...
  14. plus some cash for a '52 Tele reissue this afternoon. That should fix the gear jones for now. I have a bunch of EQ I should trade or sell... My 52' tele reissue was been sitting in it's case for the last 3 years until last week. Dusted it off, put some new strings on it, and used it at an open jam last weekend. Should of done this sooner! Great guitar which I've been ignoring for too long. Please post your thoughts on the new axe when you get a chance. It's my 2nd Tele. This afternoon I'm getting a pair of DiMarzio Virtual T or Area T to kill that hum. I love it, I had a '52 reissue on loan for a year or so. The neck p/u with a compressor is a lot of fun, the notes just pop out and it gives the tone a glassy feel. Of course, not using a compressor is great too...always wanted one of my own. Can't beat that color...
  15. I had heard that Page paid Wilie Dixon for robbing his tune, but I didn't know the full extent of his theft- holy cow, he's a great guitar player but a thief!! That was Whole Lotta Love. From the PSF article:
  16. nooooo....but we'll see....
  17. 24th and Broadway. I know that traffic island. That white car on the right is turning off 24th. I went there on my first visit to New York. Unfortunately, there was no beautiful girl... MG You must have been there in the middle of the night, in the dead of Winter... Well, actually, I meant walking along pretending to be elegantly overbalancing. They show up just after happy hour.
  18. I traded off this: plus some cash for a '52 Tele reissue this afternoon. That should fix the gear jones for now. I have a bunch of EQ I should trade or sell...
  19. I can get you a deal on the Goethals.
  20. I've got a bridge I can sell you...
  21. That's pretty good. I've never been to Mandolin Bros., but I used to get their inventory lists by mail back in the 80's and 90's. I always enjoyed their wacky instrument descriptions (which have continued to the present day on their website). I'm curious... is the atmosphere in the store as nutty as the atmosphere they create in print? I'd say the store is all business. You can grab anything off the wall and try it. Nice show rooms...

    Trumpets

    Interesting expression...
  23. I was in Mandolin Bros. on Saturday and they were giving a "tour" of the store. Stan Jay was telling his guests about the dehumidifiers and a woman asked if he had backup generators for the dehumidifiers.
  24. Oh man, it's amazing...I still wonder if I should sell a bunch of crap and get it. I figure that if I'm not going to play "Jazz" in public, I should just play acoustic at home...and why not do it on an L7-C...
