  4. join http://www.easytree.org and get it for free.
  5. Roy Haynes 80th birthday on WKCR today 2-7 pm.
  6. Like an electric Oud with steel strings. Not much sustain, no matter what kind of fingerboard you have. But it's real fun to slide around on, so it can sound like a slide guitar.
  7. 7/4 has one. So does Metheny. So, yes! So soes Belew, Vai, Satriani and McLaughlin. On his Grammy winning Imaganary Day, Metheny played his classical fretless.
  8. All the ones I've seen are some kind of custom job.

    Anthony Braxton

    In your dreams.
  10. Enjoy! I wish I would of thought of Rondo before I bought the Epiphone (1st post in this thread.). Dammit! Now I have to look at Epiphones also! Sorry 'bout that. The one I bought could use a bit of work. It's missing the pickguard, but I don't miss it. Maybe new pickups, but there's no rush buy them. Cheap. Used. It's the only guitar I've played here for any extended length of time, besides my Music Man bass (which is getting some action this evening, more than I've had in a while).

  12. I saw a Music Man Bongo bass today.
  13. Guitar Center was insanely Saturday afternoon noisy. We checked out a '76 Fender P Bass fretless maple neck. It was OK, I'm not sure it's worth $1500. And I'm not too interested in a bass with a maple neck. I bet it was headache inducing. I remember 70's Fenders being considered as total dogs. Now, the prices are shooting up. I'd rather just buy a made in Mexico knock-off than a real 70's Fender. At least the neck pockets will be tight and the thing won't break your back weightwise. I'd rather buy a G&L!
  14. Let me know if you're in the neighborhood!
  15. It's the kind of guitar I'd hang on the wall and never play!

  17. The trip also killed the G.A.S. I've had lately for a G&L ASAT. We went to Guitar Center also I didn see any ASATs in either store.
  18. Those Korean made basses that we tried at Rondo are tempting, cheap, well fiished instruments, but...eh...not for me.
  19. And one of these spiffy guitars. I didn't have time to try it. Some other time. We were there to play fretless basses!
  20. I went to Rondo Music to day to check basses with a buddy. I saw one of these, but didn't try it. I wonder how well it stays in tune. the SX SJM 62

  23. What do you use in fake books--tab, or music, or both? Notation, charts.
