Money maker, I think. John Wettons pop group. We were so excited to see this supergroup play, we had tickets to hear them at the start of their first American tour. Then a week before the show, the album came out and I was kinda surprised...they were ok, but not what I expected. Last year I was going through a big Steve Howe binge and I picked up the first two albums on CD, real cheap to check out his playing. This is NOT a progrock band, I don't know when I'll ever try to listen to those CDs again. I had to refresh my memory, they were more light weight than I remember!

Yes, that's the thing that most surprised me about the obit. I thought this was unusual:

I've lived in NJ my whole life. I never "got" Springsteen or Joel. I had enough of them about 1975.

I always had a bit of a time getting into NH & Hatfield. I thought maybe it's Pip Pyle. This is something I'm really noticing this time around. What ever happened to Phil Lee?

Gilgamesh - Arriving Twice I've listened to this a lot times in the last few days, great 70s Canterbury fusion. Keyboardist Alan Gowen had ties to National Health and Bruford, died in '81 from leukemia. I own the other two Gilgamesh albums, time to listen to them again!

That's Allen's trip - internet bully, picking on the crippled and elderly. I broke both my elbows in Aug '09, we found out after a bone density scan that I had some diet problems. I really started playing again seriously last Thanksgiving and then only when I have time. The day job is very demanding. I'll be part of something here in NJ in the very near future though, stay tuned.
