  1. I used to be in town more, but I've lived thirty minutes from the Holland Tunnel for 18 years.
  2. That's Allen's trip - internet bully, picking on the crippled and elderly. I broke both my elbows in Aug '09, we found out after a bone density scan that I had some diet problems. I really started playing again seriously last Thanksgiving and then only when I have time. The day job is very demanding. I'll be part of something here in NJ in the very near future though, stay tuned.

  9. I'll have to check out another performance of the Debussy/Ravel qts., I'm pretty familiar with this one now.
  10. Absolutely! It's always paired with Ravels only string qt. I have the performance by the Emerson Qt. I should dig into Prokofiev. I like his piano music that I've been exposed to.

  16. passed away this morning. Milton Babbitt (May 10, 1916 - January 29, 2011) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milton_Babbitt I used to see him at concerts in NYC in the '90s. Him and Elliott Carter would always be there with their wives. Julliard Theater, Miller Theater. RIP.

  21. I bought this recently to find out what these pieces sound like: Bela Bartok – The Piano Concertos (Pierre Boulez) (2005) expecting this to be exciting, I liked it the first time I heard it.
