    Anthony Braxton

I finally got a copy of this and listened to it twice yesterday - I'm crazy about it. Braxton and Graves are a great match.
  2. After years of Firefox, I switched to Chrome in July. I had problems saving photos from a web page with FF.
  3. OP is looking for "those live recordings of Mahavishnu Orchestra just sitting in a vault somewhere".
  4. That would be very nice! I'd love it.
  5. not lately...I'll try it again this week. I was thinking of getting a copy of the new one on Tzadik. It's probably the only album that doesn't have In C that I don't have.
  6. I spent $45 today on CDs...I hope that helps.

  9. ha! how about that. a week of inspiration...I still want a copy of the set with Morris, maybe I should take the plunge this week and get a copy.
  10. Imagine the brass section in a marching band with this kind of gear...poof!
  11. Pyro's Flamethrower Trombone
  12. I feel better already!
  13. I think they were both into Transcendental Meditation. So is David Lynch...they should all do a movie together. Imagine the soundtrack.
  14. Frank Zappa - guitar, synthesizer Patrick O'Hearn - bass Terry Bozzio - drums I remember having read that FZ was apparently contemplating a tour with this trio (he was suing Warner Bros, and was not sure he could finance a larger band). A shame it never happened, probably would have been the most improv-heavy Zappa's tour. wouldn't that be something...he probably would have sung a lot of songs and guitar solos, the keys would be missed.
  15. that was the only time I heard Zappa perform....crap seats too, I'm glad the video came out.
  16. Frank Zappa - guitar, synthesizer Patrick O'Hearn - bass Terry Bozzio - drums http://wiki.killuglyradio.com/wiki/The_Ocean_Is_The_Ultimate_Solution then the whole album: Frank Zappa (guitar, keyboards) Dave Parlato (bass) Terry Bozzio (drums) George Duke (keyboards) Patrick O'Hearn (bass) Ruth Underwood (percussion) Chad Wackerman (drum overdubs on CD) Thana Harris (vocals overdubs on CD) Bruce Fowler (all brass) James Youman (bass) Chester Thompson (drums) http://wiki.killuglyradio.com/wiki/Sleep_Dirt Sleep Dirt and especially Studio Tan are favorites! The original mixes without overdubs are on Läther.
  17. No. If that's really happening, I guess the ZFT took the next step in fucking up Frank's legacy.
  18. Check that out...another story in the big city.
  19. Absolutely. You could tie a boxing glove onto the slide (great at parties), or when you get tired of it you can make it into a lamp.

    Jon Hassell

from Fascinoma: Jon Hassell - Nature Boy
  21. Good idea. I should! Yes...as far as lyrics go. I think Zappa's "classical" took a long time to become unique...he lifted too much in the early years (up through 200 Motels, at least).
  22. That's what I was about to post...
