cd storage for large collections
robviti replied to tranemonk's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
i plan to buy a condo this summer, so i contacted can-am this morning. they're sending me samples of 3 or 4 of their available colors. I may end up getting four 3-drawer cabinets with a mica top for my cds. not sure if i'll get cabinets for the sound equipment and the tv. yep, it'll be 'spensive, but me and my collection are worth it. -
i agree! while i enjoyed her in that classic film, i remember her best for her longstanding stint on the show to tell the truth

not openly. it's probably best to delete your post and offer "something" via pm or email.

Metheny-Mehldau in the NYTimes
robviti replied to 7/4's topic in Jazz In Print - Periodicals, Books, Newspapers, etc...
pat metheny and brad mehldau, "two of modern jazz’s most distinctive personalities." remarks like this one make me weep. -
no, but read this: Musicians: Roscoe Mitchell, Richard Davis, Bernie Worrell, Brendan McCarty, Mark Sinnott, Matt Rodgers, Jeff Muendel, Corey Wilkes. All of the musicians were given certain tracks to listen to and no one played at the same time. The concept was similar to the classical baroque style of performing. The phone messages are real messages from 2005-2006 during that time of my life.

some of the confusion may be caused by the fact that this title has been reissued with different covers several times over the years. additionally, it looks like amazon has mistakenly used the cover art to a compilation called double exposure for some of it's entries. btw, lrc also reissued this title along with another compilation called with european friends that features different tracks recorded between 1958 and 1971.
-
okay, i might have been mistaken in saying that both cd are currently in print. still, i had no difficulty quickly finding vendors who have both titles in stock. now i know you don't have a credit card, but quite a few online vendors, including amazon, accept personal checks, bank certified checks, and postal money orders. as far being a real shrink - yes i am. as far a f'ing with your mind - no, not this time.

from my neck of the woods, how about: I'm A therapist, not YOUR therapist! Psychologist: Will diagnose for coffee If you're passive aggressive and know it, make other people feel guilty until they clap their hands This is not countertransference. I just don't like you.* Watch out: My id is kicking my ego's butt You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me! Yes, I'm a psychologist. No, I can't "fix" you. *Countertransference: a therapist's feelings about the client stemming from their own issues, i.e., their own baggage.
