  23. One of the great first wave of garage-punk bands. This one would not be out of place on an early Elvis Costello record! When I was a kid, I knew a boy named Jerry High whose favorite record was "Talk Talk". He grew up to be real trouble, believe me. I was always struck at how the label of the 45 matched the vibe of the song, stark, black, not a lot of light.
