  17. And also...speaking as somebody who fairly regularly deletes cookies of my computer manually/individually just to see what all's on there, i can tell you that cookies on your your computer do not reliably indicate "areas of interest". You can get stuff on there from a site you get on just to get an image, or one article, etc. Sports sites do this all the time, you go read one article and they put a whole bunch of other crap on there. I've got third-party cookies blocked on all my browsers, and still extraneous crap gets in. None of it's really "harmful", but it is a nuisance, and just because I check out a few Japanese music and sports sites (Yu Darvish is real) does not mean that I want to date Asian women.
  18. I'm not interested in bananas, Real Books, dating anybody, Christian Mingle, Allen organs, Steinway pianos, the Charlotte School Of Music, or anything else this thing is presenting me with. Nor do I have any browsing history that indicates I might be. Plus, I get the same bits on my work computer as I do my home computer, and my work browsing is significantly more limited than my home browsing. I don't mind this thing being here, but the ad options repeatedly presented do not speak well to the efficiency and effectiveness of whatever technology is being used to target users.
  19. Now I'm getting one that says that bananas are one of the five foods I must not eat. If one of the other four is menudo, I'm gonna be pissed...
  20. Just now hearing Legacy, and the writing is gorgeous, and gorgeously, expertly played. Not as "roaring" as a band made up of old-school big band road-dogs, but those times and most of those people are gone now, so that's that. Solos are good, but quite often "New York-y" in a not-good way. Style over substance, and there's an alto & a trumpet soloist who sound embarrassingly "bluesy", and a tenor player whos all doodley-doodley. I do like Anthony Wilson and whoever it is playing the plunger trombone. The rhythm section, otoh, holds the band together just fine and frames the charts very nicely. I'd like more sweat and nasty, but like I said, that was then... I'm keeping this one for the writing and the ensemble playing, both of which are outstanding. Memory has me hearing Harold Land, Carmell Jones, Bobby Bryant, Joe Maini, Anthony Ortega, Joe Pass, etc, playing the solos, and that little bit of self-deception works just fine. Recommended, even with the hesitations about most of the solos.
  21. He played with The Beatles, ya' know!
