No. There's soprano on Horn Culture and Next Album, the latter featuring a memorable version of "Poinciana" on soprano, along with David Lee's still-mind-boggling cymbal work. I agree, it's a good album, but I don't think that Sonny plays as freely and loosely as his rhythm section does on this one. A pleasant but ultimately frustrating listen for me, as were/are so many of the Milestones. But if I don't think about it too hard, that's not too big of a problem.

No, this one was before the Austin City Limits show referenced on that site. Circa 1975-76, that's when this show was on. Of course, I could be confused, but there's a sequence of personal events involved that makes me almost certain that I'm not.

Indeed. The overriding "feeling" here is one of melancholia, I think. But not in a "depressed" way, if you know what I mean. Then again, that's always been a big flavor in Andrew's music. But it really seems to the fore on this album, and I find it quite touching, more than usual, actually.

I just got my copy. Listened to it about 3 times last night (with plenty more to come), and really, what is there to say? Lots, eventually, but right now, "Beautiful" is all I can say. And that's enough.

Responsible use of European Public Domain laws afaic. Their "mission" is clear (and admirable), and they execute it well. Plus, I hear that they do their own research, compiling, and mastering, which distinguishes them from the loathsome pirates. The few I've gotten have been excellent. I'd like a lot more, but that's the problem - there are a lot more.
