hey you guys, i just scored a whitelabel promo Down Here on the ground.....well the SPINE of the lp jacket, its titled (only on spine) as Wes Montgomery: Goin On To Detroit. before i can dig up my stock copy to dispose of it, can anyone tell me if this was an early error, later corrected, or do all the jackets have it like this? thankx!

this album is way better than other spyro gyra albums ive heard, its like all session musicans i think, i dont know but its definetly different. the original mca japan cd sounds flippin fantastic

dude you guys, the vinyl on my pressing, ok first off its a 60s era blue label, prestige 'trident' logo, but its as brittle as a 50s shellac king vinyl lp. this lp would snap in 2 sec. if i stored like im storing all my other records. ive never seen a period presitige lp like this before, its quite peculiar. anyways also there some pressing stuff going on. side one has the catalog number and rvg stamp. side two has what looks like a number MISTAKE- it was like 8023 instead of 8203 or somethin else...it looks like, then thats crossed out and something else is written which is REALLY crossed out, cant read that, ....then, now this is the real weird thing, THE CODE IS MACHINE STAPMED. u dont see that ever on these pressings. but it IS.

im happy u guys like my thread i started, lets hear it for late 70s/early 80s savoy gospel lps. come to think if it, i got a real nice one from the 50s too!!!! name alludes me but its the same bag-- gospel headfirst, tons of B3 organ. its fantastic. only freddie roach did a gospel-hardbop fusion, right? *all thats good........... or are there other examples im missing?
