This is a GREAT cd!!!!! I have been enjoying this all morning! The combination of alex's piano, the steel pan and the strings is incredible! some people think that creative/improvised music is inaccessable - NOT TRUE HERE!!! I heartily recommend this cd for anybody that loves good music!!

he was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he played NONSTOP for over 2 hours and never sat down!! his band: Bobby Broom - guitar Bob Crenshaw - electric Bass Clifton Anderson - Trombone Coleman Watkins - Drums (this kid was AWESOME - probably one of the top 5 drummers on the scene today!) a percussionist who i didn't recognize (sorry) I am horrible with names but Sonny played a few ballads, a calypso number (not St. Thomas) and the rest great STRAIGHT AHEAD JAZZ!! Oh and he started off with a bit of circular breathing that was INCREDIBLE!! I know MartyJazz was there as well so I hope he fills in the rest of the details! All in all - AN INCREDIBLE JAZZ EVENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
