  1. Kind of makes you wonder what happened throughout the previous month. These were obviously two incompatible personalities that, 1. Needed a hell of a lot more time together to work out their differences or, 2. Just weren't going to work, period. I guess kudos to both for seeing it through to the bitter end. It's just too bad that end had to be as bitter as it was. Neither came out of that looking very good.
  2. Yeah, I'd say there was already bad blood there. The kid was being a belligerent asshole. That kind of behavior usually doesn't arise out of a vacuum.
  3. Thanks, Kevin. We're saying the same things, I just misinterpreted your previous post a little.
  4. That's what happened. It was even explained in the run up to the actual video of the incident.
  5. That's really interesting, isn't it?! You, and only you, were able to ferret out THE one and only crucial fact in this article! And why, gosh darn it, it coincidentally helped you prove your point! What are the odds?! Yes, you proved how full of shit you were with your "emotional response" insults yesterday, but I figured I'd let you continue to dig that hole all by your lonesome while the rest of us reveled in your amusing hypocrisy. You won't because you lack the self-awareness and discipline needed, but you should keep this little incident in mind the next time you take it upon yourself to play smartest person in the room. Because the dirty little secret is that you just might not be.
  6. Interesting. So in other words we shouldn't have taken anything from that article as factual, nor used it to inform our opinions? Do I have that straight?
  7. Could have just as easily been holding it in front of his/her face. We don't know the floor layout of the room. Though I am wondering if the kids actions fall under the "chesty teenager" garbage Jim was peddling earlier. Sure looks like he was acting like a jackass.
  8. I'm not seeing the need for this particular exercise, Kevin. The actual signal processing is fine, since Larry said the signal out to his headphone output is fine. The problem seems to lie somewhere between the processing, and the speaker level output.
  9. None of this makes any sense. At all.
  10. Can you give us the Cliff's Notes version?
  11. In his case, only facts matter. There is no context or nuance that are applicable.
  12. See my edit from before you replied. Asian = race Japanese = nationality I'm always available should you have any more pressing questions. BTW, had an otherwise intelligent and thoughtful cat tell me at work today that the KKK has never killed anyone. So, yes. My tolerance for bullshit is at an all time low right now.
  13. Absolutely! Because the act of two parents is indicative of how an entire race/nationality operates! Hey, no irony to see here, move along...
  14. Actually, you don't. If you did, you wouldn't be spending all this time creating all these qualifiers. An adult grabbing a minor by the hair and slapping their face twice is not only wrong and morally reprehensible, it's also a crime in the United States. As it should be. But hey, like I said, feel free to keep barreling down the "rape victim had it coming because she was dressed like a slut", or "the murder victim ran their mouth just a little too much" highway to nowhere. It's fun, if not mildly disturbing to watch. You know I have no problem following you down pretty much any intellectual rabbit hole you want to indulge, but this is one time where you're on your own.
  15. There are plenty of parents all over the globe that don't give two shits about their children. Another piss poor metric.
  16. Feel free to continue stepping on rakes, but whether his parents thanked Hino or not has absolutely no bearing on whether or not it was criminal assault of a minor.
  17. Differing laws, I guess. If it'd happened here in the U.S. he would have been charged with assault.
  18. Since Coltrane is my largest collection, I'll say Om. Which I find simply dreadful.
  19. Hot Water - Jimmy Buffett Doo Bop - Miles Davis Fillmore East June 1971 - Frank Zappa I'mmsure there are more, but thise immediately sprang to mind.
  20. Oooo...that cat is good, too.
  21. It was the Born This Way Ball. One of his smallest and least extravagant stages. http://www.stufish.com/project/born-this-way-ball Check out some of his other wonders, though. http://www.stufish.com
