A buddy of mine told me about the Woody Herman set this morning. I may have to pull the trigger on that one.

Yeah, Italian-style subs are my favorite by far. Nothing beats a well-made Italian dressing drizzled on a sub.

Trust me, if you moved away from Florida to a town where you couldn't get Boar's Head meat, you'd be dreaming about that sub.

One of the few things I miss about living in Florida is going to Publix and getting their Ultimate sub, made with all Boar's Head meats.

So the near-death experience they suffered a few months ago brought in enough revenue to keep them liquid for the next few years?! Um, OK...

That's a great point, mjzee. Most box sets rarely make it more than a decade without at least temporarily going OOP.

Perhaps, but you have to admit the timing is curious. If they did simply determine they'd reached market saturation, why now?

I Can Hear is the very first album of theirs that I listened to. What an astonishing effort! I knew right away this was a special group of musicians.

Sounds like a rather Phish-like approach. The cover they do of Cities from The Talking Heads on the Amsterdam box set is some of the most thrilling group improvisation I've ever heard. Especially after the left turn around the 9:30 mark.

I'm completely addicted to their sound and style. Reminds me of when I finally "discovered" the Stones.

Yet another band I simply never took the time to check into. Until this weekend. Have listened to I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One, Painful, and I Am Not Afraid Of You And Will Beat Your Ass. All three are really well done, and very engaging to listen to. Great band!

I listen to podcasts all day and have to say I've never had a battery issue. Does playing audio on your phone really use up that much juice?

Boar's Head anything is top shelf.

The Touch certainly can't be far behind.
