  1. Ted only does vocal gigs in Cancun during power outages.
  2. Sunny War, With The Sun
  3. Age discrimination permeates the country. I would love to hear your group live, but I suspect the odds of a Texas tour are rather remote.

  18. I attended the Marathons from 2015-2020, six years in a row. In the early years, the venues were mostly fairly close and all in Manhattan. Unfortunately no longer the case, in which case the best strategy is probably just to pick the one venue with the most bands that appeal to you and stay in one place.
  19. Stan Getz in Buenos Aires (RGS)
  20. Dudu Pukwana, Diamond Express
  21. I was entertaining the thought of possibly attending this festival, at least for the Marathons, but I have not arranged it. It will probably be a last minute plan, if I do.
  22. Listening to the CD; the bass recording of Henry Grimes is perfectly fine and clearly audible throughout. Compared to any other Live at Slugs recording I've heard, this has the best sound quality by far. The first CD is fantastic.
  23. McCoy Tyner/Joe Henderson, Forces of Nature, Live at Slugs' (Blue Note)
  24. Willis Jackson, Keep On a Blowin' (Prestige) Lou Donaldson, Roughhouse Blues (Cadet)
