It's a real problem with Moody. The original LP that I posted is itself a comp of a 10" with unreleased recordings.

I really enjoyed it. Euro jazz for sure, but Pauer makes sure it never wanders. I can't stress enough how much this record hit the spot.

I hadn’t listened to it before. It really gripped me.

Wally Shoup - Chris Corsano - Paul Flaherty – Bounced Check Yes. It feels like a "Major Work", doesn't it.

"Punk" jazz / improv from the late 70s/early 80s
Rabshakeh replied to Rabshakeh's topic in Miscellaneous Music
There's long bio on Steve Beresford, one of the leading exponents of this kind of improv from the British side, in this month's Wire. -

Roscoe Mitchell - More Cutouts On the back of this 1981 record is a reference to the "Leo Smith - Roscoe Mitchell Big Band that toured recently". I didn't know they had a big band at this time. Does anyone know whether it made any recordings? Or is this the group that made the great back to back Moers records Sketches of Bamboo and Bidding of a Rose?

Jamaladeen Tacuma - Show Stopper "Chosen" by the 8 months old, who has a new walker that puts him within range of the vinyl.

This is great news. That's a really important body of work.

Marilyn Crispell - Spirit Music I hadn't listened to this before. Excellent interplay with Bang. A much more aggressive Crispell than I knew of. Milt Buckner – Send Me Softly
