Ottawa 34....BC 27 Another great game. The percentage of games that have been really good this year must be a record. I won't go back through the season to do research, but my hunch is that the Alouettes have been the only team to routinely shut down their opponents. A favorite of mine, Jaelon Acklin, was taken away in an ambulance. He jumped up to catch a touchdown pass, was tackled in the air, and landed on the back of his head. He could move his extremities, but it was scary nevertheless. Ottawa is undefeated at home, 5-0-1. BC has lost five straight. Rourke looked better this week, but the BC o-line didn't look strong. They offered him $18,000, and wouldn't budge. So he sat out the year. The following year, he approached Philadelphia, and asked what their offer was. They said, "The same. $18,000. Take it or leave it." So Yochum then contacted Montreal, and said, "What will you pay me?" They said, $32,000." And at that time, the Canadian dollar was more valuable than the US dollar, worth $1.05.
