  1. That was fast! That's correct, Paul, it's Them. The organist's name was Peter Bardens. He went on to record under his own name and be a founding member of Camel.
  2. The thread has been quiet, so let's try this photo.
  3. I guess the two most famous in jazz are: Gil Evans - Svengali Orrin Keepnews - Re: Person I Knew
  4. Correct, Paul! Who would have thought back in 1965 that of all the rock acts he'd be one of the few still selling records in 2011!
  5. Here's an old photo.
  6. What holiday are they referring to, Labor Day?
  7. Correct, Valerie! Petula Clark. I have her greatest hits cd, and enjoy it very much, except for Downtown, which I got tired of before 1964 was over.
  8. Hint: I saw her in Las Vegas in August of 1973. The warm-up act was Joan Rivers! The next night we saw Elvis.
  9. Happy Birthday 2011 kinuta!

  11. spotify: Manfred Mann - Down the Road Apiece
  12. The young guys won't likely guess this one.
  13. Big Head Clyde McPhatter! Correct, Jim! I saw him perform at the Kennedy Center in DC very shortly before he died. He was great, the best of the oldies show, which included Little Richard and Cornell Gunter & the Coasters.
  14. While we're waiting for a hint from Bill, here's another one:
  15. Correct, Jim! I was sorry that I couldn't find a good picture without a guitar, as that might have made it a little harder.
  16. Try this!
  17. Umar Ali Week 7 preview http://64.246.64.33/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfl/news/news.aspx?id=4427831
  18. Correct, Jack and Paul! It's Lavern Baker. That photo has been used on some CDs, so I figured that Jack would have come across it and would recognize it.
  19. This is a hard one for most of us.
  20. LOL! That's my favorite Christmas rock song! The copy I have goes all the way to the end of the recording, which stops abruptly with the ringing of an alarm clock! Anyway, that is correct, Jim! It's Hank Ballard!
  21. I remember that The Fourth Way albums came with that label. I enjoyed them.
