This was my first Monk album. 1968. The cover art had Monk flying like Superman. Perhaps nostalgia, but this is a big favorite of mine.

A Chinese couple making love. She is a daughter of a restaurant owner. A thoughtful silence follows, and she waits patiently (and eagerly) for his request. He eventually replies shyly and unsurely, "I want...69." Now she is caught up in thoughtful silence. Tuesday was a happy day. In September of 2017, I collected all of my summer music (surf guitar, surfing and bossa nova) and put it away. The following May I couldn't find it. I knew that, like The Purloined Letter, it was hiding in plain sight, but I couldn't find it. Tuesday I found it. Hooray! Or as they say on the beach, Bitchin'! So I put my favorite on first. The boat pulls into the cove, the guy hops on board, and the boat heads back out to sea. On the way out of the cove, the captain says to the guy, “Hey, I see three buildings near the beach. Why three buildings? What are they for?” The guy says, “Well, the one in the center is my home.” The captain then says, “Well, what about the building on the right?” The guy says, “That’s my church.” The captain replies again, “Well, what about the building on the left?” The guy says, “Oh, that’s the church I used to go to.”

The Bombers woke up when they needed to, and marched down the field at the end of the game to prevent the Redblacks from winning. Remember the first week when Castillo missed two field goals, and said that the balls were faulty because of their attached computer chips? So they let the kickers use balls without the chips. Castillo hasn't missed since. He kicked six field goals last night.
