Kevin, I guess you and I have read different things. What I read was that it was Moss who went around to the wholesalers and retailers promoting The Lonely Bull and other records. I have also seen Herb Alpert referred to as the company's A&R man. By the way, I recently read that Alpert and Moss were for a short while the co-managers of Jan & Dean.
