  1. I dig Dylan and I really enjoy some of the live shows I've heard from the past few years. I love the rootsy guitar in his shows.
  2. It sure is dangerous (and expensive) to talk about guitars. I'm glad you didn't get stuck with two guitars. I hope that Cort is everything you want it to be. I was checking them out online and I really like them.
  3. cute.............I saw that I can't get away with anything.
  4. I like this magic slate technique...
  5. OUCH!
  6. Listening to it now. Sound is indeed only ok, but you can definitely hear John as well as Larry. Organ bass is somewhat less audible, and drums aren't great, but it's still an intense show! THANKS for the info! Off to easytree.
  7. Isn't that something like the original post was talking about, only different? I was thinking about the post count folks. But...graphs....we need lots of graphs! Make sure they're PIE charts. Mmmmmmm.. pie.
  8. I think cabin fever has taken hold of me...
  9. I'm just kidding. Except... I still think Cat Shatner is a trademark of prestige. ok...we're cool. Always.
  10. I'm just kidding. Except... I still think Cat Shatner is a trademark of prestige.
  11. Hm...maybe. I think they would need a Cat Shatner to work well. A Cat Shatner would be the symbol of quality... So... who are these posters of low merit? I guess I could always create my own board and talk to myself... :rsmile:
  12. That's a fun idea, Tony.
  13. I'm not Dizzy. I'm DizzySpells ... of the Hampton, Wilson and Goodman type. Big difference. And most of my friends are couws. Who the hell is Deus? Well... if you are Deus... I'm glad you're here. and if you're aren't... Welcome!
  14. I know I like the sound of old guitars. I think there is a difference between new ones. That Christian guitar must have been cool. I'm glad you kept your Tele. I haven't played in a group in about 5 years, but I couldn't imagine not playing at all. Those Heritages are nice. I'm not in love with their headstock, but I could live with it, since their used prices are quite reasonable.
  15. I stopped playing and seeing them sitting there got me depressed. So on ebay they went. Lefty models too. The X-500 blond one I sold to someone that is playing it backwards. Restringed the guitar for a righty. Go figure. The Aartist Award model was the best sounding guitar I ever heard. It sang when you played it. The tone was so wonderful. That's really weird, a righty playing a left-handed guitar upside now. Now I've seen it all. Do you plan on getting back into guitar, Tom?
  16. I'm so happy! It's in the high 60's here. I'm so glad this winter is almost over (and I usually love winter).
  17. That's great, Scott! I would have taken that Cort over the PRS too. I remember reading the Guitar Player review of the Cort. It was very positive. I hear the cool bridge/tailpiece combo on the PRS's don't intonate right anyway. Did you end up selling your Epiphone LP?
  18. No... I've seen that headstock, but I can't remember what it was. I'm a dummy... It's a Cort.
  19. No... I've seen that headstock, but I can't remember what it was.
  20. Nice! Please... more details, what brand and model is this one?
  21. I agree with RDK; great distinction between enemies and opponents. Even though we may disagree on many issues, I still appreciate the civility and friendship you show, Weizen.
  22. So who's going to walk che today? I did it yesterday. Not me. I only had plans to stick gum in his hair when he wasn't looking. I've exchanged some PM's with Che and I actually think he's a good guy. I don't agree with everything he says in the politics forum, but I do appreciate that he gets so riled up because he seems to really care about the underdog. The person I've got to know is kind and thoughtful. I initially contacted him because I thought he was going after Catesta as if he had some kind of vendetta. He told me this wasn't the case. I just don't think he's used to talking politics the way that we do it around here. I hated that zionist thread last week. I hated the venom and animosity. I try as hard as I can to see the best in people and the truth is, to me, there are great people here and even if we disagree, I still respect your opinions and your right to have them. I hope this doesn't add me to anyone's shit list (if I'm not on it already ), but I hate seeing the animosity.
  23. Wow... beautiful guitars. You have very good taste.
  24. Nice guitar! I'm a big Howard Roberts fan myself.
  25. Same here. I remember playing in bands in the 80's and trying to share this kind of music with my friends. They thought I was loony when I'd play a song like Moby Grape's "Seeing" for them and rave about how amazing it was. I remember making a special order for the Sony Special Products version of Spence's Oar album in '91 (after having the Edsel vinyl edition for years). Heck, I still have my complete collection of Rhino's Nuggets LP series. I guess people who love music will eventually find jazz. I LOVE jazz, it's about 60% of what I own now, but I still love tons of other stuff.
