  3. Now, back to the important stuff! B)
  4. Dude, where do I order?
  5. I'll buy it, count me in! Do "Message From A Black Man"
  6. Stanley Cowell ILLUSION SUITE POCJ-2793 Made In Japan POLYDOR K.K., distributed by Universal Music K.K. SN
  7. mikeweil--you're right, it is a Japanese import if I recall. If no one else can provide further info I will when I get home.
  8. This is available on cd, I have it.
  9. And Happy Birthday to you too! Hmmm, what planets aligned to bring us Conn and Weizy on the same day?
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. I gave them one more chance, and a Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis track froze my computer. It was the last straw, I cancelled.
  12. I am convinced it is ruined, and I will cancel. I have a whole shelving unit of cdrs to listen to, so I can't complain.
  13. I too have a cd burner and can assist with distribution if necessary. I definitely want to participate in BF#4.
  14. I absolutely abhor Linkin Park and Limp Biskit.
  15. Still waiting for a big breakout game from Shaq...he's still missing "chippies." Hard to believe how fast Kemp went from high fly act to fat sloth to unemployed.
  16. This is my first full length Clifford Jordan, though I already had a different version the song "John Coltrane" on a 32Jazz compilation--when I saw it on the track listing I sprang at the opportunity to hear similar music. I rate GLASS BEAD GAMES exactly as highly as Rooster Ties did on the first page of this thread. I am looking forward to reading some typically verbose dissection of this fine specimine... B)
  17. I was intrigued by the comments here, and having never heard Hal Russell I looked this album up on AMG--I was sad to read that Hal died 5 weeks after making this album.
  18. Sharp Nine? Where's DEEP to rave about MARC EDSEL EDELMAN?

    Strata East

Thanks Chuck, I'm not sure how else I could have learned something like that.

    Strata East

Thanks Late. I did a search and must have missed that thread. Thanks for checking Dusty Groove, too--I'll have to have them email me when some of these come back in stock. Thanks everyone for your suggestions! B)
  21. I always have trouble finding a costume. Guess I'll be Beldar.
  22. After getting GLASS BEAD GAMES I realized I have little from this label. What Strata East albums would you recommend?
  23. At about 16 I had a friend whose dad gave him a huge collection of records--jazz, funk, r&b, soul, blues...just tons of great stuff. I heard Coltrane's Africa Brass and Giant Steps and I was hooked.
  24. "Easin' In"--man, what a bass line!
