  1. I've got: Gang Starr STEP IN THE ARENA, HARD TO EARN, MOMENT OF TRUTH BDP GHETTO MUSIC: THE BLUEPRINT OF HIP HOP (& "Love's Gonna Getcha" on mp3)
  2. See, I would have never thought you liked rap at all. I've got all kinds of rap... ...The Beastie Boys, The DOC, Slick Rick, Public Enemy, EPMD, Erik B & Rakim, Boogie Down Productions, Gang Starr, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, Ice Cube, Brand Nubian, CMW, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Black Sheep, Del, Common Sense, Redman, Digable Planets, Outkast, The Roots, Wu-Tang, ODB, GZA, Ghost, Raekwon, Nas, Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo, Jurassic 5, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, MURS, The Grouch, Aceyalone, Typical Cats, Blackalicious, PB Wolf, Madlib, Loot Pack, Quasimoto... I don't have Shaq-fu rockin' the mic Fu-Schnick style, though. From what I remember he was pretty garbage. I saw Kobe rap at the House Of Blues.
  3. What songs were they? The Whitefield Brothers - "Prowlin'" Desmond Williams - "High Speed Drift" RJD2 - "Ghostwriter"
  4. The more I read your posts Jeff, the more I'm shocked you didn't like the cdr I sent you. I put some heat on there man! (tracks 12-14, no good?)
  5. I really dislike Republican qualities.
  6. As I stated in the other thread RHCP in like '90 at the Greek. The Meat Puppets opened and gave the crowd a laugh by covering the theme song to the TV show "Charles In Charge." The lead singer said it was his favorite song.
  7. For every Offspring, there's a Van Halen...they're guilty pleasures for good reason.
  8. Nope. I've only been to a few concerts in my whole life. My oldest brother went to TONS, and saw Van Halen several times I'm sure. My first concert was The Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Greek Theatre, with the Meat Puppets opening, around 1990.
  9. I like the first four, they are the soundtrack for a lot of my elementary school memories... I don't like Van Hagar. So even though Diamond Dave's done nothing but get weirder and weirder, he gets the nod.
  10. My sincerest condolences, GOM.
  11. I've heard a few songs, pretty cool--maybe I didn't hear the best ones. One I've heard was all right, "The Revolution Was Postponed Due To Rain," a sarcastic take on the similarly-titled Gil-Scott Heron song. Not bad but I didn't run out to buy it. All the same I tend to like this genre, whatever it is. I'll have to investigate further.
  12. I'll be damned if that didn't work. Weird. Jim Dye, you're a regular Gandalf. It just occurred to me that I am the only one who saw the wrong avatar. I'm a regular dope.
  13. Forget how I choose my avatar, how does this software choose my avatar? I changed mine at work today, only to come home and have the same avatar I changed it from still in place.
  14. Happy Birthday!

    Cape Verdean Blues

"Pretty Eyes" is an all-time favorite of mine. I never hear the audio problems I see discussed around here. Can't hear 'em on Cape Verdean Blues, can't hear 'em on the Turrentine Mosaic...
  16. These people must know that this animation is pure comedy.
  17. Dang! I missed it maren. I would have been tripping out. I almost always have the game (any game) on mute until the last two minutes. There's important jazz listening to do.
  18. Thanks wesbed, and my apologies to the antlered one. I know other listeners with good taste who also like the Offspring. Personally, they hurt my head like a hundred dogs.
  19. Awesome close game between OSU and Saint Joe's on right now.
  20. Hootie & The Blowfish, Dave Matthews Band, Creed, Smashmouth...boring, soulless...terrible. There is no explanation for those who like these bands a lot, they are beyond help. Linkin Park, Offspring, Green Day...whiny punk-light and a dash of pseudo rap, with the weakest and most pathetically unsophisticated lyrics and melodies. Good God these guys suck. Boy bands and Spice Girls and that shite--I think it is child abuse when parents buy this trash for their kids, much like cutting a kid's hair into a mullet before he's old enough to know how stupid that looks. Actually it's more like teaching kids to have poor taste and shallow thoughts. Pretty boy country crooners...who's this bum my mom was just listening to--Kenny Chesney? Egads, so horrible it is painful. Her ears must be broken, it is the only logical explanation for purposely enduring such crap. I wouldn't include the Stones or Floyd or Black Sabbath in with the sonic road apples I listed above. Thanks for letting me vent.
  21. SS1 called it, the Lakeshow is currently spanking the young Tenderwolves.
  22. ...and another vote for the Mosaic set. I couldn't say the first time around with this thread.

    Creating MP3s?

There is 700mb of space on a cdr, and mp3s make songs about 3-7mb apiece. If you have a stereo that can play mp3s...

    Creating MP3s?

Well, thanks Jim Dye as well. I'll do some comparing and see how it goes!

    Creating MP3s?

MusicMatch is a good one too 7/4? I'll take a look at that too, thanks.
