  1. Just put in an order for five. Some nice ones on there.
  2. The Who had one but maybe that's later... Never really got 'into' Steppin' Out, but that may be at my own peril.
  3. I'll try and find his phone number again and report back how it was... Would like to hear some of the recordings with Newk as well as the Zounds LP with Don Cherry. But that aside, all of his recordings that I am familiar with are top-notch. Insight is a desert island LP for me, as is The Cry.
  4. Are Durium and I the only Nedly Elstak fans on this board?!
  5. Sorry, Daniel, but I find this extremely funny (and that said as a fellow record condition obsessive).
  6. Wow, thanks for this Durium. I love Nedly Elstak - have his ESP vinyl as well as some material with Loevendie. His CORECO records look pretty interesting but I've never heard them. There's one with Glenn Spearman that looks particularly heavy, called Incident.
  7. I can't remember if I did or not. I need to give him a call - it's been a while.
  8. A friend of mine, in an obvious nod to Nels Cline, has arranged the title track for his instrumental punk rock/skronk trio. Pretty fun, though the key modulations are even more out than Hill's!
  9. A great day for jazz birthdays - Prince Lasha was born today back in 1929. Here is hope for continued recordings and good health!
  10. Bumping this for Dave Burrell's 68th birthday, today!
  11. Assume they ship to the US? Might get the Patton Box on my next paycheck. I limped along on "selections" for far too long!
  12. Gemini is pretty damn good. Still don't have that Shihab.
  13. Classic! Haven't heard that one in a few years. Don't think I'd listened to it in ten years before today. Not because the music's not worthy - I just kept overlooking it. Same here - tend to go for Fred & Annie Mae first.
  14. I still want a ringtone of "Ghosts." When I worked in a liquor store in my undergraduate days, we were lucky enough to have a turntable. I brought in ESPs, Actuels, Can records, that sort of stuff and it was the only way I could stay sane carding fratboys.
  15. Classic! Haven't heard that one in a few years.
  16. Bushler & Berk sounded really good with the Curson-Barron front line.
  17. PM Sent on Ajemian and Flaherty.
  18. And no photo of the NYAQ sealed ESP. Would like a "perfect" copy.
  19. Not to gloat, but I have a pristine mono six eye. Gorgeous... Mine was about a VG+ but still a little crackly. I gave it up for a CD copy and, of course, a fistful of dollars.
  20. I'd give 1/32nd of my left nut to have a clean early pressing of KOB.
  21. What if the poster is the author of the article?
  22. I like the Mauger disc.
  23. Happy Belated, Bob! Sounds like it was a perfectly relaxing b-day, the best one can hope for.
